Revolutionary Youth Movement of Syria: "We will fight against the murderous regime for a free life of all Syrians!"

After the Conference of the so-called transitional government in which the HTS leader Jolani announced himself president of Syria, the Revolutionary Youth Movement of Syria published a statement in which they announced that they will never accept a government that does not respect the will of the people, tries to push women out of public life & commits massacres against Christian, Alawites & other beliefs. They underlined that what's being established is a system of slavery, far from science, culture, history, art & philosophy. They end with a call to struggle against the New regime & for a Free & Democratic Syria:

"As the Revolutionary Youth Movement, we stand with the faiths and religions of Alawites, Druze, Christians, and many other identities who are experiencing these practices. We say, "Long live the struggle for a free & democratic life for the unity of all peoples."

“We will fight against the murderous regime for a free life of all Syrians”

"The identity of youth is an identity that rebels against injustice, injustice and oppression and is always in the midst of struggle against them. Throughout history, youth have led struggles against all systems with a dominant mentality and a slave mentality. The most recent and notable examples of this are the Vietnam War, the Arab Spring and the revolution led by women and youth in North- and Eastern Syria.

When the youth's reflexes against the current massacres emerged, it was without distinction of race, nationality, religion, language and belief. When ISIS gangs attacked Kobanê, thousands of young people from different nations from all over the world came to Kobanê to put an end to this oppression. We see that such a spirit is preserved and lived in this region, dozens of young people from different nations and beliefs continue their resistance in Tishreen. This existing spirit should be even more widespread and grow today and spread to all regions of the Middle East, especially Syria.

Jolani who after the fall of the Baath regime came to power in Damascus, does not accept any color in Syria. He makes decisions about women and kills thousands of people from the Alawite sect. It destroys Christian cemeteries. Syria, which is a place of wealth, color, historical heritage and dozens of beliefs, is drying up and heading towards destruction. HTS wants to establish its own Sharia order by creating fear and terror in society. It aims to remove women from the public sphere, eliminate differences and silence those who want a free life.

Of course, the system that is being created is also a major attack on the Democratic Confederalism System that is currently being developed in North- and East Syria. The system that is tried being created now is a system of slavery, a system that is far from science, culture, history, art and philosophy and is lived only through blood and terror.

However, Kurds, Arabs, Armenians and Syriacs have lived together on these lands for centuries. The wealth of these lands has been strengthened and found itself through the existence and unity of these peoples. The unity of the people and the power of the youth, who fought ten years ago and did not surrender Kobanê to this poisonous ISIS mentality, will set an example for the whole of Syria today. Thousands of martyrs were sacrificed for these values. Young men and women fought heroically on the front lines to defend themselves and the existence of these peoples.

Making women and young people, who are the foundation of building society, objects and slaves means enslaving society. On this basis, as the Revolutionary Youth Movement, we will never accept a government that is not elected by the will of the people and does not include the people. Therefore, we declare that we will not accept the temporary Syrian government that includes Jolani and the leaders of the murderous gangs and we will fight against it in every field. We promise that we will not remain silent, we will resist, we will work and struggle in every field until a democratic and equal Syria is established. The truth of HTS and ISIS will be defeated again by the truth of women and youth, so we will resist until the end, protecting the values ​​of the martyrs.

As the Revolutionary Youth Movement, we stand with the faiths and religions of Alawites, Druze, Christians and many other identities who are facing these practices. We say, "Long live the struggle for a free and democratic life of unity for all peoples."

🕊 Mandela and Rêber Apo: A common revolutionary Path towards People’s Freedom

▶️ Nelson Mandela and Rêber Apo are two personalities who through their thought and militant commitment have transformed the course of history. They are two revolutionaries who, in supporting the ideals of democracy and peace, were hunted down and locked up by the international hegemonic forces.

▶️ They were both eventually sentenced to death commuted to life imprisonment on Imrali Island in Turkey and Robben Island in South Africa. Both of them led a relentless resistance within an inhuman prison system for 26 and 27 years.

▶️ Thirty-five years ago, on 11 February 1990, Nelson Mandela was released from 27 years’ imprisonment in South Africa.

In the first part of our new series “Dahûrandin” Rêber APO (Abdullah Öcalan) dedicating a speech to the first YAJK congress (Unity of the free women of Kurdistan), which took place in 1995.

In his speech Rêber APO emphasizes the role of the Free Women’s Movement and the role the Free Women plays for society and the revolutionary Movement: “The Women expresses our level of freedom”.

Second part of "Dahûrandin", a series of evaluations by Rêber APO: During this interview, taken at the academy in Damascus, Syria in 1996, Rêber APO reflects on his approach to freedom and the right way to develop a free personality. He emphasizes the need to distinguish between what makes us free and what enslaves us and to completely get rid of everything that is a an obstacle to freedom:

In this Interview from the 1990's taken in Damascus, Syria, Rêber APO answers the question of a German journalist: "What does the collapse of real socialism and the soviet union means for the Kurdish people?"

Rêber APO evaluates the characteristics of the socialism represented by the PKK, its role as a solution for the crisis humanity is facing and its ecological struggle:
"The PKK fights against the biggest dangers for humanity, that is the atomic threat and the ecological catastrophe. (...)
The freedom of nature is at least as important as the freedom of society. It is one of the most fundamental goals of our party and by that also of our socialism. Regarding this we are a green movement"

▶️ Dahûrandin (/daˈhuːɾandɪn/): In Kurdish (Kurmanji), “dahûrandin” can mean “to research, investigate, or analyze” something in depth. This usage applies when someone is systematically examining a subject, looking into details, or studying something carefully.

🕊Rêber APO (Abdullah Öcalan) conducted a lot of important research particularly on culture, society, and civilization. In his works, he analyzed nationalist and capitalist ideologies, critically examining how to transform society and individuals with the goal of FREEDOM.

▶️ This compilation of 4 recordings contains speeches and an interview that was done in 1996 in an Academy in Damascus, Syria. One of the videos is a message Rêber APO dedicated to the first YAJK congress (Unity of the free women of Kurdistan), which took place in 1995.

Şehîd Têkoşer, Lorenzo Orsetti is one of these young people who, joining the ranks of the resistance as antifascist gave everything and fought until the end. With his choice of living a partisan life in the 21st century he shared, especially to the younger generations, a message of hope: "War is a reality closer than what you think and it regards us all, but for how much these horrors seem invincible and inevitable, there will always be someone who will be willing to take weapons and protect life, tomorrow you can and you will have to be the ones that will do it."
