If Treasury bill rates in Ghana rise sharply from 10% to 30% in 182 Days, some investors will prefer “safe” government securities over shares like MTNGH. Money flows out of equities. Demand for MTNGH weakens. Price pressure turns downward. When interest rates fall, shares look more attractive again, and demand can return.
