Certain things about our world have never been more clear for people to see. COVID has been a great catalyst for people to see how our world operates and to ask more questions about it, like why and how can we change it? This is a very positive thing.
First things first, what is trauma? There are a number of misconceptions about trauma that often lead us to think it has nothing to do with us individually, yet this may be a lot more common than many of us realize. In this conversation with nervous system expert Irene Lyon, we explore trauma and how it affects our body at its core.

We are on the ground in Ottawa and tensions seem to be rising a lot. But in many ways this is a good sign.

We are seeing a moment where the way in which our world works and the type of thinking behind it is being laid bare for all to see and reflect on.

This is a moment of change. A moment where people have the opportunity to think about what we truly want our world to look like providing we are invited to think about that instead of getting sucked into the drama of a dying system.

Do you want to live in a world of scarcity and fear or a world of thrivability?

The resistance and tension we are seeing is a natural part of deep change as the necessary truths must arise to the surface for us to question them and begin to embrace new ways. We can all take peace in that.

The key right now is: as the old concepts fall away, what stories, narratives and discussions will emerge through this time of change? Ones of revenge and anger? Or inspiring stories of forgiveness and new beginnings?

This is where our work can shine as underlying all of our work at CE & The Pulse is a deep inquiry into how we can make our world a more beautiful place through transformation & action.

We are on the ground here in Ottawa to tell the story and to also inspire discussion around what our new collective story can look like.
