Cursor adds iOS remote control for local agents

Cursor's iOS app now lets you see and reply to local agents running on your computer. Remote Control is on by default for everyone except Enterprise organizations; pair by tapping your computer in the app and approving in the desktop app.

Agents stay on your machine, so it must remain on and online. Enable "Keep this computer awake" in desktop settings; it needs to be plugged in with the lid open. Enterprise admins enable it under Org settings > Security and identity > Remote control.

GitHub Copilot local sandboxing reaches general availability

Local sandboxing for GitHub Copilot is now generally available in GitHub Copilot CLI, the GitHub Copilot app, and VS Code sessions using Agent Host.

Agent-run tools and commands now execute with restricted filesystem, network, and credential access set by developer or organization policy, powered by Microsoft eXecution Container (MXC) across Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Pi makes its system theme the default, built from your terminal's colors

Pi's new system theme is now the default. It asks your terminal for its foreground, background and ANSI colors on startup, and rebuilds the theme when the terminal switches between light and dark.

If you haven't picked a theme, you are already using the system theme. Otherwise, you can switch to it in /settings under Theme. Pi builds its roughly 60 color roles from contrast requirements rather than trusting the ANSI palette.

Copilot for JetBrains adds managed default models and MCP startup control

Enterprise admins can now pick any available Copilot agent model as the default for new conversations via managed settings, while an explicit model picker choice is preserved. A new MCP setting lets you disable automatic server startup for Copilot and Claude.

Support for JetBrains IDE 2025.1 has ended; you now need JetBrains IDE 2025.2 or later to use the plugin. Diagnostic intention menus also gain a Fix action that opens inline chat and asks Copilot to repair the issue.

Gemini 4 Argon reaches general availability in GitHub Copilot

Gemini 4 Argon, Google's newest frontier model, is now generally available in GitHub Copilot for complex coding, agentic, and reasoning tasks. Rollout is gradual, so it may not appear for you yet.

Copilot Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise users can pick it in the model picker across VS Code, Visual Studio, Copilot CLI, the coding agent, the Copilot app, JetBrains IDEs, Xcode, and Eclipse. It is billed at provider list pricing under usage-based billing; Business and Enterprise admins manage access via model policy.

Zed 1.22.0 adds BYOK models and subagent controls

Zed 1.22.0 introduces BYOK support for GPT-6.1 Sol, on-the-fly model selection for new subagents, automatic subagent compaction, a unified and split diff toggle, and dynamically fetched OpenCode models.

BYOK coverage also extends to Claude Opus 5.5 and additional OpenAI models, including GPT-6 Astra, Sol, and Luna, so you can use the model you already pay for inside the editor you already run.

Factory introduces OpenCompute, a self-hosted agent sandbox orchestrator

Factory launched OpenCompute in private preview, a self-hosted orchestrator for agent sandboxes on your choice of runtime, connecting to Factory over an outbound, TLS-secured WebSocket.

It targets fleets rather than single machines, with a required Core conformance profile and optional Suspend, Snapshot, and Fork profiles. Factory plans to open-source it; interested teams should contact their account owner.

Microsoft's Rayfin SDK brings typed data apps to Fabric

Rayfin is a new open-source TypeScript SDK for building Fabric Apps, working with humans via CLI and with AI agents, and turning data models into GraphQL endpoints with TypeScript clients.

Developers can define data structures and access controls in Rayfin, then let agents build on those models; docs include markdown files and a ready-to-run prompt for coding agents.

GitHub agentic autofix for code scanning alerts hits general availability

Assigning a code scanning alert to Copilot now explores your codebase, proposes a fix, reruns CodeQL to confirm the alert closes, then opens a draft pull request for review.

It replaces the free Generate Fix option with Assign to Copilot, needs an enterprise admin to enable the new Agentic autofix policy, and consumes AI Credits plus Actions minutes.

Cursor Cloud Agents Add Canvases, Environments API Beta

Cloud agents can now build interactive canvases as part of their work, shareable with your team by link. The Environments API is now available in beta.

Environments now support up to 300 repositories, and large environments load 5x faster. Use the beta API to programmatically create and manage the cloud environments your agents run in.

Pi Durable Brings Long-Running Agents to Cloudflare Durable Objects

Pi Durable is a harness for long-running agents. A new write-up builds a multiplayer chat agent with one Durable Object per session, hibernation, alarms, and subagents that search across conversations.

Sessions persist in Durable Object SQLite and wake for scheduled work, so agents need not run around the clock. A conformance suite checks custom storage; the demo needs Node.js 22.19+, pnpm 11, and an OpenAI API key.

Qoder CLI is now available

Qoder lists a command-line interface alongside its IDE and JetBrains plugin as another way to use the product.

Developers who prefer terminal-based workflows can now pick the CLI instead of the IDE or JetBrains plugin. The listing points to a download, so check the download page for setup details.

GitHub Copilot in Slack and Teams adds multi-repo support

Copilot in Slack and Microsoft Teams now works across multiple repositories in one conversation, so you can track pull requests, investigate issues, and review activity without switching conversations.

You can mention @GitHub anywhere in a message, switch repositories more easily, and let Copilot use shared Slack messages and threads as context. Reliability fixes target errors and task startup.
