GoDaddy launches Node.js Hosting with API control for agents
GoDaddy launched Node.js Hosting, letting developers and AI coding agents create, deploy and manage apps through the GoDaddy API without opening a dashboard.
The API covers the app lifecycle: creating apps, uploading source, publishing, managing environment secrets and reading build and application logs. Auth uses a Personal Access Token, so automated tools deploy without manual sign-in.

Coder Agents adds a deployment-wide system prompt for every chat
Coder appends an admin-set prompt to its built-in prompt for every Coder Agents chat. Configure it in Admin settings → AI → Coder Agents → Instructions, or via PUT /api/v2/chats/config/system-prompt.
That route was promoted out of /api/experimental in Coder v2.37.0; v2.36 and earlier only serve the experimental path. Use /api/v2 on v2.37 and later, and expect the compatibility path to disappear.

GitHub Copilot adds computer use for desktop apps in public preview
Computer use is now in public preview in GitHub Copilot CLI and the GitHub Copilot app on macOS and Windows, letting Copilot read app content, click controls, type, scroll, drag, and move across workflows.
It targets GUI-only and legacy software without an API, CLI, or MCP integration. Copilot asks for approval before controlling an app; org-managed settings can disable it. Enable via /computer on or Settings.

IBM Bob self-hosted reaches general availability
IBM announced general availability of the self-hosted deployment option for IBM Bob, bringing agentic software development to sensitive and mission-critical workloads on enterprise-controlled infrastructure.
Teams with sensitive or mission-critical workloads can now run agentic development on infrastructure they control, connecting self-hosted models through the Bob model gateway instead of relying on external hosting.

Cursor adds iOS remote control for local agents
Cursor's iOS app now lets you see and reply to local agents running on your computer. Remote Control is on by default for everyone except Enterprise organizations; pair by tapping your computer in the app and approving in the desktop app.
Agents stay on your machine, so it must remain on and online. Enable "Keep this computer awake" in desktop settings; it needs to be plugged in with the lid open. Enterprise admins enable it under Org settings > Security and identity > Remote control.

Pi makes its system theme the default, built from your terminal's colors
Pi's new system theme is now the default. It asks your terminal for its foreground, background and ANSI colors on startup, and rebuilds the theme when the terminal switches between light and dark.
If you haven't picked a theme, you are already using the system theme. Otherwise, you can switch to it in /settings under Theme. Pi builds its roughly 60 color roles from contrast requirements rather than trusting the ANSI palette.

Copilot for JetBrains adds managed default models and MCP startup control
Enterprise admins can now pick any available Copilot agent model as the default for new conversations via managed settings, while an explicit model picker choice is preserved. A new MCP setting lets you disable automatic server startup for Copilot and Claude.
Support for JetBrains IDE 2025.1 has ended; you now need JetBrains IDE 2025.2 or later to use the plugin. Diagnostic intention menus also gain a Fix action that opens inline chat and asks Copilot to repair the issue.
