🗞 Catalysts to Watch in September 🗞

1️⃣ BTC ETF Decision

"The SEC will likely have no choice but to approve spot bitcoin ETFs following Grayscale’s victory in its case against the SEC, according to JPMorgan." - The Block

2️⃣ dYdX V4 launch

dYdX is launching on their Cosmos app-chain with V4 in late Sep/early Oct.

Some key features here include an in-memory orderbook controlled by dYdX chain validators.

It's further confirmed that trading revenue no longer will flow to centralized entities like dYdX Trading Inc. $DYDX revenue sharing is therefore right around the corner.

$DYDX current market cap is $362m and FDV $2.09b.

While this is a big catalyst, it's worth noting that $DYDX will begin its large 40% unlock in December this year. Below is an image of how these 40% are emitted over time:

3️⃣ Base expansion🔵

Base has reached a TVL of 400m in a little over a month since launching.

The majority of liquidity ($190m) is in Aerodrome which recently launched with highly incentivized farms and a token airdrop.

While TVL might flatten out at this level as farms become diluted on Aerodrome, several large protocols are launching on Base which could attract more liquidity in September.

Projects already on Base include Curve, Uniswap, 1Inch, Aave and more.

4️⃣ Conferences this month

Conferences are usually where protocols reveal large announcements regarding new product features. Some conferences coming up:

• 4-10 Sep: Korea Blockchain Week
• 11-13 Sep: Permissionless
• 13-14 Sep: Token2049

5️⃣ RDNT Capital Ethereum mainnet launch

Radiant Capital is a cross chain lending/borrowing market powered by LayerZero.

While the protocol currently is live on Arbitrum and the BNB chain, it will launch on Ethereum mainnet October 3rd.

As Ethereum contains the majority of DeFi liquidity, this could cause Radiant to see new inflows.

$RDNT currently sits at a market cap of $68m and a FDV of $225m.
