For a long time, I’ve been wondering why local e-commerce still isn’t common across Ethiopian cities and communities—places like Ambo, Woliso, Adama, Asella, and even around university campuses. We already buy and sell through Telegram, Facebook, and word of mouth, so why not make it easier with one local marketplace?
A friend of mine who works at Ethiopian Airlines asked me to build a Telegram Mini App for his business. He sources products from different parts of the world and sells them locally, and the idea has already been working well around Addis Ababa, Adama, Dire Dawa, and Asella.
That experience pushed me to take the idea further.
Now I’m cooking DealArada 🚀 — a local e-commerce platform where people can buy and sell products in their own cities and communities. The vision is to grow it from a website into a full platform and app.
Still early. Still cooking. 🔥
Check out the demo and tell me what you think, fam: https://dealarada.vercel.app/

Happy Ethiopian new year

sooo… i’d say it was a pretty great summer.

tried a bunch of different things, went to different places, did some hiking…

what an adventure.

the agency had a really good run too. we managed to get 6+ client projects and crossed 500k+ in revenue, which still feels kinda crazy to say.

learned a LOT from the whole experience dealing with clients, managing projects, handling all the little things that come with running an agency… at this point, i might actually become a great PM someday ig 😂

big W to the team Jonaz and Belema ⚡️

but probably my favorite part of the summer was just trying things. some worked, some failed, some went completely differently than expected… and somehow, all of it taught me something.

yeah… great summer.

let’s see what 2019 brings.

@Fraol_Builds

Bro I’m not even mad about the 500k+ I’m just trying to understand the currency.
Jonaz + Belema + Fraol’s agency crossed 500K+… but is that ETB or USD?
Because if it’s ETB: respect, solid run.
If it’s USD: BRO DROP THE COURSE. 💀💀

Hey guys, have you heard about the new job title: GTM Engineer? 👀
It’s not exactly traditional software engineering.
You build AI agents, automations, APIs, data pipelines and systems that help companies get customers and grow.
Basically:
Code + AI + Automation + Sales = GTM Engineering
And yeah… this role is getting real.

To become rich, you need to solve rich people’s problems, because that’s where the money is.

But to understand rich people’s problems, you need to be rich and experience those problems yourself.

Infinite loop ♾️🫪

I heard a video that said "I dont think van goh and davinci would have painted so much if they could doom scroll" and that really stuck with me because how many future davinci's never get to actually make it there because there is endless scrollable media , endless movies, endless games, endless everything

Bordem is part of the creative process, if you're always entertained there there is no incentive for you to get up and make something
