I was so touched and amazed when I saw this last time, and I was processing things. Not everybody has to agree on everything; I know that, and I don't expect all 8 billion people to agree on some idea. But having this kind of person in this warm, lovely, energetic and appreciating community is sad. By the way, Omarchy is so cool; it comes with many pre-built features that you might need as a developer. Do you guys remember how much I suffered preparing the Odoo setup a few days ago? It took me three business days just for the setup. However, with Omarchy, it literally took me less than 30 minutes. Regarding Odoo, I think it's a normal thing and not that difficult after all; the problem was that I was doing it on Windows with a lagging computer.

I am understanding now why people say you should change your OS as a dev 😁

This might be a little cringe to share, but let me do it anyway...

For a long time, I used to see setups like this from developers I looked up to — the terminal, the cool themes, the tools, the whole developer environment — and I always felt like it was something far away from where I was. It looked like some kind of "elite developer world" that I would only reach someday.

Even one day, I saw a screenshot like this shared in a community channel. I literally copied it, sent it to Claude, and asked: "How can I get this same setup on my computer?"
And here I am.

The funny thing is, the things we admire from a distance are usually not as magical as they appear. Most of the time, they are just the result of curiosity, continuous learning, and small steps repeated over time.

One day you are wondering how people use these tools. Another day you are installing them. Then you start understanding them. Eventually, they become part of your own workflow.
