I hate when I zone out at work I genuinely don’t know where I go . If it happens in the morning, my whole day is just me sitting at my desk for 30 minutes staring into space while my brain is somewhere else living a different life 😭

The Beno Logs
My girlfriend hated when I made her pick places to go out.
And I don't really know too many places around the city (me dev. outside bad 🙂↔️). So I built this last weekend.

Hey, gentle man, make sure to use this before you invite her on a date lol.
Jokes aside, I like it

We should stop creating personas for people we don’t even really know or at least stop being disappointed when they don’t behave according to the version of them we created in our own heads.

Ma mom sent me a voice message saying, “It’s Father’s Day. Call your dad, wish him a happy Father’s Day, and buy him something”
I stopped doing those things because whenever I bought my dad something, he didn’t really show much reaction, so I thought maybe he didn’t care. But my mom noticed that
She reminded me that many dads are not good at showing their emotions. They may not always express it, but deep down they feel it. We just need to understand them.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who dedicate their lives to their families ❤️

Today is Father’s Day. If you’re a man and still relying on your family’s money, the best Father’s Day gift you can give is becoming self reliant … That’d probably make him prouder and happier than any gift ever could. or at least make yourself a promise…
I saw some people got offended by this post, and I just wanted to share ma storry
As someone who lives alone, I understand how hard life can be, especially in Addis. Working as a junior dev and living by yourself is not easy you’re just going to live from paycheck to paycheck. But at the same time, there is something special about knowing you are responsible for your own life and decisions.
I remember when I moved out (it’s been 10 months now). My best friend called me and said, “You better not move out. Life is not going to go the way you expect. You’ll end up going back to your mom’s house, and that will be embarrassing.”
And I asked, “Why would that be embarrassing?” At least I tried to build a life on my own. I think that’s something to respect, not something to be ashamed of. after that conversation, I never called her again.
Yes, it’s hard. There were days when I wished my mom was here and thought wedebet selememeles. But that’s life. You struggle, you learn, and you grow. The things that challenge you can make you stronger.
I’m still only 10 months into living by myself, and I know I still have a lot to learn. But going back is not part of my plan. I have bigger plans for myself.
And for people who really want to move out but are scared ask yourself if you truly want it. When I was in university, I used to say I would move out after graduation. I didn’t know if I would get a job or how things would work, but I knew how much I wanted that independence. When you truly want something, you work toward it.
Also, everyone doesn’t have to move out. If you live with your family and support them, that is also a great choice. Helping your family instead of paying rent can be meaningful too
I know everyone is trying their best. just keep trying eshi 😊

Move out
Best case scenario: you establish an independent life and become a successful "adult"
Worst case scenario: you fail to maintain yourself out there. Fortunately you only go back to where you started a year ago... But with very valuable life lessons.
Stay with your parents
Best case: you save money, you support your parents
Worst case: you're extremely dependent and spent 1 more adult year not knowing how to take care of yourself. And yeah somehow your still broke.

It’s so funny how people can normalize something messed up and then act like you’re the weird one just because they all do it.
Like, somehow being the majority automatically makes something normal 😕
Meanwhile, a bunch of weird people think I’m the weird one 😂

It's not always the big gestures🤍
Sometimes, it's just someone remembering the tiniest details like how quiet you get when you're not okay. Or how you like your tea a little stronger when you're tired.
It's when someone sits next to you without needing to talk. When they check in without asking questions. When they hold space for your Silence. A shared joke after a long day. A plate of food quietly handed to you a random message that says take'your time im not going anywhere these things seem small. But when life feels loud and heavy, they feel like home.
And truth is, they're never small. 🫂 ✨

What makes your day brighter?
Let me tell you mine a good hairstyle, a nice and comfy outfit, seeing a butterfly on my way, a beautiful flower, a dog on the street, or a sweet little child smiling those small things just make me think, “Today is a good day.”
Have a nice day you all 🤍
