For tomorrow's match I’m choosing frontend … even though every team I support somehow forgets how to win 😭

MIT just built an
AI system that can control human muscles using small electric signals. It connects to a person’s arm and sends gentle pulses to move specific muscles. The AI decides how the arm should move in real time.
The project is called
Human Operator A small team created it in just a few days during a hackathon and it won first place. The idea? Help people learn new skills faster or recover from injuries by letting AI guide their movements.
This feels like something straight out of sci-fi… but it’s already here.

Lately, I’ve been getting into system design. and been starting to see how real systems scale… and it’s very different from code that just works locally.
Planning to turn these into proper blogs as I go.
Let’s see where this goes 👀

Natnael Getenew, a self-taught developer from Addis Ababa, has been named one of the winners of the AWS AIdeas global competition, selected from more than 10,000 submissions across 115 countries.
His platform, Ivy, is a compressed AI model (under 260MB) that runs on Android devices without an internet connection. It proactively calls students and delivers personalized lessons, quizzes, and flashcards through 21 AI-powered tools.
When connected, Ivy integrates with AWS cloud services; offline, it operates entirely on-device.
Chosen by an AWS expert panel for its strong technical execution and creative problem-solving, Natnael’s project earned him a $10,000 cash prize along with $1,000 in AWS credits.

Some days you feel like you're building the future.
Other days you spend hours fixing one tiny bug.
That’s normal.
You compare yourself to people shipping fast, while you’re stuck debugging or trying to understand things.
But every developer you admire was once confused, stuck, and questioning everything.
The difference? They kept going.
You’re not behind. You’re building.
Keep going. 👊

👋 Hey everyone!
I just launched VeloxDB — a blazing fast, open source PostgreSQL admin tool built with Rust. 🦀
While pgAdmin weighs 600MB+, VeloxDB is just ~6MB with <1 second startup. No Electron. No bloat. Just speed.
✨ What makes it different:
🎨 Built-in visual ER diagram designer — drag, drop, connect tables and generate migrations in one click
⚡️ Lightning fast — built natively with Rust + Tauri
🔒 Zero telemetry — your data never leaves your machine
🔑 macOS Keychain integration — no plaintext configs
🛡 SSH tunneling + SSL encryption built in
📤 Export schemas to SQL, PNG, or PDF
💸 Completely free & open source (MIT license)
We're currently at Beta on macOS and Windows & Linux coming soon.
⭐️ We need 30 GitHub stars to ship Homebrew support — every star genuinely helps!

Would love your feedback! 🙏
