So, I finally took the plunge into Flutter... I’ve been hearing the hype for a while, but actually starting a new project with it today has been a total "where have you been all my life?" moment. What’s good in it: The "Magic" Button: They call it Hot…
And after that first “wow Flutter is magic” moment I kept building.
And honestly? The vibe is still strong — but now it’s getting real in the best way.
Now I’m starting to understand what people mean when they say:
"Flutter isn’t just a framework, it’s a whole way of thinking."
I’ve been learning how layouts actually work, fighting with padding like every developer does 😂, and slowly moving from:
“Let me try Flutter”
to
“Okay… I can actually build serious stuff with this.”
The coolest part? Every small feature feels like unlocking a new skill:
- Better UI control
- Cleaner architecture ideas
- Cross-platform confidence
- That constant “I get it now” feeling
Still early days, still learning, still breaking things…But the progress is addictive.
If you’ve tried Flutter before — you get it.
If you haven’t yet — I’m starting to understand the hype.
More updates soon

Introducing DBStudio: A modern, AI-powered workspace for your data
I'm excited to finally share what we've been building. DBStudio is officially live.
We built DBStudio to solve the headache of managing local and remote databases. Instead of juggling multiple clunky clients, insecure tunnels, or complex VPNs, we wanted something that just works, securely and instantly.
Here’s what you can do right now:
- Connect Anything, Anywhere Use our CLI agent (npm i -g @dbstudio/cli) to securely bridge your local Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, or LibSQL database to the cloud. No firewall configuration needed.
- Secure by Design We’ve implemented a robust, single-use token system. Every connection uses a unique, cryptographically secure token that ensures your database credentials remain safe.
- Visualize Your Schema Understanding a new codebase is hard. DBStudio generates interactive, beautiful ERDs instantly. See relationships clearly and navigate your tables visually.
- Chat with Your Data Stuck on a complex join? Our built-in AI understands your schema. Ask questions in plain English and get accurate, optimized SQL back.
It’s free to get started. I’d love for you to try it out and let me know what you think!
👉 Live App: https://dbstudio.tech
👉CLI: npm i -g @dbstudio/cli
👉 Docs: https://docs.dbstudio.tech
Happy coding and don't forget to watch the demo video!

Here's the easiest way to ruin the best years of your life ( your 20s ).
Watch this Short Reminder 👇
https://youtu.be/ldD5KhfC_5Y
Most people don’t ruin their 20s with one big mistake. They do it with small delays.
“I’ll do it later.”
“I still have time.”
“Next year I’ll change.”
This video is a mirror.
If it makes you uncomfortable, it’s working.
Watch it.
Reflect.
And be honest with yourself.
👉 Which of these habits are you already living with?

So...a Skill is a reusable capability for AI agents. Think of it as a plugin that teaches your agent how to do specific tasks better.
Today at Dagmawi Babi's Meetup, Robi taught us about good design - colors, spacing, dark mode, animations. But here's the thing: nowadays agents are building more than we do. They need to know this too.
That's why we built a skill called robis-design-best-practice.
Install and use it on Cursor with:
on your UI-specific projects.

Ladies and Gentlemen, as I have promised, the Chillaton is back gang🫡
Chillaton 2 is going to be much bigger than the previous one in many ways.
We are going to have judges as part of the grading process in order to give the event a more hackathon vibe as well.
Chillaton 2 will start on February 16 until February 23, with the final results being announced on the 28th
I dont know how I managed to get these guys to participate in judging😂 (absolute heroes btw), we got
@mo_tries
@dot_ruth
@corax_cave
@SoloDevChronicles
The criteria for judging will be based on cleanness of code, technical execution, functionality, user experience, problem-solving, problem-solving/relation to theme
The theme for this chillaton is going to be: Glimpse into the Future
Like the last time, you can build whatever you want. There are no restrictions, use them minds to create something cool. At the end deploy them and you'll send it to me alongside your github repo.
This time, the reward pot has increased for the winners.
1st place: 3K birr
2nd place: 2K birr
3rd place: 1K birr
Go crazy peeps. Show us what you're made out of😤
