👋 Welcome to Code Comics channel, created by @bigdataspecialist.

Hello, I am Mr. Stickman and I will be teaching you Computer Science, Programming and Data Science. I will be explaining complex tech terms in fun and easy way, so simple that even a child can understand it!

Please note that creating those interesting explanations through images and comic books is very time consuming for my creator (@bigdataspecialist) so honest feedback as well as high engagement and sharing of each of our posts with your friends and inviting them to this channel is very, very important for him to continue investing his energy into making complex world of computer science simple and easy to understand for everybody 😊

I hope we will have great time together. Thank you 😊

What is Parallelism?

Imagine you have a big task to do, like cleaning your room. Normally, you would do it step by step, one thing at a time.
But what if you could get some help to make things faster?

Parallelism in programming is like having some friends who can help you with different parts of a task at the same time.
Instead of doing everything in a strict order, you can break the task into smaller pieces and work on them simultaneously.

One friend can clean the room while another folds clothes, and you can organize the books yourself.
Each person is working on a different part of the task at the same time, making things go much faster.

In programming, parallelism is similar. You can split big tasks into smaller ones and have them done simultaneously by different parts of the computer called "threads."

Each thread works independently on its own part of the task, just like you and your friends working on different parts of cleaning your room.

Parallelism helps make programs run faster because multiple tasks can be done at once, taking advantage of the computer's resources.
It's like having many hands working together to get things done more quickly and efficiently.
