Weโve been working nonstop since the very start of this semester to make this event a success; planning, preparing, stressing, and pushing through everything because we truly wanted to give you all the best CTF and opening ceremony for Cyber Vanguard Club at CTBE.
And when we finally made itโฆ
When we finally secured the fund ๐ธ, got the auditorium approved ๐ค, prepared the posters, organized the teams, lined up the schedule everything was readyโฆ
Thatโs when things took the wildest turn.
Yesterday evening, around 2 LT, right when we were literally putting up posters and recording a funny little video for you guys (we were genuinely so excited ๐ญ๐ฅน)โฆ
We were suddenly told that we cannot host the event anymore.
Just like that.
After everything.
After being granted permission.
After all the work.
After all the promises.
The frustrationโฆ the confusionโฆ the sadnessโฆ it hit all of us at once. ๐๐
We stood there with posters in our hands and cameras still recording, not knowing what to say or what to feel.
We wanted this event not just for ourselves, but for you.
For the students who were excited to participate.
For the community weโre trying to build.
For every single person who believed in this club.
It hurts. ๐๐
Itโs frustrating. ๐ก
Itโs exhausting. ๐ฃ
But even though this setback hit us hard, this is not the end.
Cyber Vanguard isnโt giving up not today, not ever.
Weโll keep fighting, keep planning, and keep pushing until we bring you the event you deserve. ๐ช๐ฅ

Digital Ethiopia 2025 has been successfully completed, achieving its intended goals to a remarkable extent. Today officially marks the launch of Digital Ethiopia 2030.
I was honored to attend this landmark national event, graciously hosted by H.E. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, alongside senior government leaders and high-level ministers. Being invited to participate in such an important moment for the countryโs future was truly a privilege.
The Digital Ethiopia 2030 strategy places strong emphasis on expanding digital accessibility, creating equal opportunities for all citizens, and strengthening trust between citizens and institutions. These pillars form the core foundation of the strategy.
To achieve these objectives, major efforts will focus on expanding public digital infrastructure and ensuring that digital technologies remain human-centeredโempowering citizens and improving everyday life. This vision aligns closely with the governmentโs broader reform agenda to reduce bureaucracy and translate ambitious national strategies into real, measurable impact.
