- runs SHA-256 hashing
- has very high power (100–250 Terahash/s)
- uses ~3000W electricity(5-10* your pc man)
- does one job: solving Proof-of-Work(finding the valid hash) puzzles to mine blocks.

Btw there is many interesting things about bitcoin blockchain . Some of them :
1. The arctecture of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, is still unknown.
2. His wallet holds tens of billions of dollars in BTC — untouched.
3. Bitcoin is basically electricity turned into money: miners burn energy solving math puzzles, and the reward is coins(new coin created)
4. Rewards halve every 4 years until the max supply of 21 million BTC is reached. After that? It just circulates what is created so far.
5. To hack Bitcoin, dishonest machines must outnumber honest ones - but the cost would be billions, making it pointless. Cost > gain
6. The first real Bitcoin purchase was two pizzas for 10,000 BTC in 2010.
7. Around 20% of all Bitcoin is lost forever due to forgotten passwords and lost wallets.
8. Mining in Iceland consumes so much energy it rivals the country’s aluminum industry.
9. A new Bitcoin block is mined every 10 minutes, like clockwork.
