ቲም በርነርስሊ( Tim Berners Lee) በተጨማሪ የድርን ልማት የሚቆጣጠር ዓለም አቀፍ የድር ጥምረት( World Wide Web consortium) ዳይሬክተርም ናቸው ፡፡ በአሁኑ ወቅት በኦክስፎርድ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የኮምፒተር ሳይንስ እና በማሳቹሴትስ የቴክኖሎጂ ተቋም ፕሮፌሰር ናቸው ፡፡

ቲም ፕሮግራሙን ወይም የመጀመርያ ድር አሳሽ ለመስራት የስቲቭ ጆብስ (Steve Jobs) ከቀድሞዎቹ ምርት አንዱ የሆነውን NeXT Computer (ኔክስት ኮምፒተርን) ተጠቅሟል ፡፡
