How Blockchain Can Help Businesses Share Data in a Responsible Way
Although cybersecurity is more advanced than ever before, the world continues to see major data breaches coming to light. On a daily basis…
We have previously published an article for how #blockchain will play a definitive role in the way businesses manage client data. This wondrous event is unfolding right before our eyes.

An informative piece by HBR on stablecoins and how it could change e-commerce. Right now, three of the four pieces necessary for an ecommerce transformation at the hands of stablecoins are in place. What’s left is an amenable regulatory environment that could possibly materialise in the next few years.
As an enabler of stablecoin payments in South-east Asia, we’re actively navigating this regulatory minefield with our partners to help them leap frog traditional payment technologies and adopt stablecoin for everyday use.

Is Stablecoin the Next Big Thing in E-Commerce?
It seems poised to succeed where other cryptocurrencies have failed.
Hello all 👋🏻 In this post, we will discuss some key observations about the Global Enterprise Blockchain Ecosystem and what Enterprises can look forward to seeing in 2020.
1) It has been noted in some publications that blockchain has entered the “Trough of Disillusionment” phase of the technology hype curve as defined by Gartner. This study shows that experimentation, adoption, and execution are still strong, but that most blockchain initiatives fall into the realm of “blockchain meme projects”, where <5% of these networks meet the criteria of full multi-party consensus systems. We expect this to change in the second half of 2020 as enterprise-scale projects begin their migration to public networks to remove single points of failure and enable cross-chain interoperability.
2) From some of our keen discussions with leading financial institutions, we found that enterprises are in no hurry to use decentralized solutions and the likes until the technology becomes mature or when incentives become obvious. Recently, regulatory requirements such as GDPR, for violation of which organizations can be fined up to 4% of their annual income, are but one of the incentives that will trigger companies to make the switch towards decentralized customer records. Another incentive that we have found to work is government-sponsored digital acceleration grants. Such schemes have shown encouraging results in bringing smaller financial institutions and FinTech firms together to adopt decentralized solutions to manage risk and serve customers better.
3) We have been saying the same thing time and again, blockchain tech is “not a magic formula” to solve all financial industry issues and there is no hack to creating a successful enterprise blockchain network. Transforming critical market infrastructure takes longer than simple application development: the median enterprise blockchain project takes 25 months between the first proof-of-concept and being deployed in production, with some large-scale networks taking more than four years for the full launch.
What should enterprises pay attention to in 2020 to remain competitive:
📌 Enterprises should place greater emphasis on the security of customer data and conduct an assessment of the risks of confidentiality. This will help create a business case for engaging the blockchain.
📌 Chief transformation officers (CTO) embarking on an enterprise blockchain initiative need to step back, look at the big picture and act as a catalyst to overcome corporate inertia and spur wide-reaching organizational change, both within and across organizational boundaries.
📌 It will not be amiss to join at least one founder-led blockchain initiative or a blockchain consortium as most deployed blockchains have a long runway and are usually designed for shared use between multiple independent entities.
✅ Coalculus is a multi-chain FinTech blockchain platform built for hybrid deployments and comes with user permissioning capabilities. Enterprise distributed applications enabled by Coalculus benefit from zero node operations, enterprise chain interoperability, scalability, and low transaction costs.

Twitter Hack was a great internal enterprise security learning, but in our nation or in our friend circle, how many of you think your password is secure enough and try to avoid using cyber hygiene best practices such as 2FA where it is available at least.
So this post is targeting that mass. You MUST enable 2-factor authentication 🔐 on all your social media accounts and especially on email with which all social media accounts are connected. 2FA its your best second line of defence!
From a security perspective, this shows that online user accounts and profiles are no longer as secure as we used to think. Cyberattacks have been the norm for a long long time. Maybe it’s time to replace outdated systems with blockchain systems. Maybe it’s now urgent to innovate and move towards a more secure communication protocol. What if Coalculus could do something about it?
