RT @NOAADrought: Spotlight on the Southwest, where precip improved conditions in AZ/NM/CO this week.

But a dry winter, rapid snowmelt this spring, and a warmer-than-normal summer outlook could lead to drought persistence + increased #wildfire potential.

RT @NOAADrought: Next week, most of the US can expect near- to above-normal precip. But parts of the Midwest, coastal PNW, and southern AK look dry.

Expect warmer temps across the West and into the Northern Plains, along the East & Gulf Coasts, and HI.
