An Amazon operations manager and her partner allegedly figured out a ridiculously simple scheme:

Create fake suppliers → submit fake invoices → approve those invoices inside Amazon → get paid.

Between January and June 2022, prosecutors say the group submitted 1,000+ fake invoices and stole around $9.4 million.

They spent the money on a Lamborghini Urus, Porsche, Tesla, house, jewelry and more.

But somehow it got even crazier.

After being charged and released on bond, they allegedly tried to open a hookah lounge — and when the franchise discovered the criminal case, prosecutors say they produced fake court documents claiming the charges were dismissed, including a forged federal judge’s signature.

Both women ultimately received around 16–17 years in federal prison.
