Trump called Amazon's Jeff Bezos to complain about reports that his company was considering displaying the cost US tariffs next to prices for certain products on its website, CNN reports.
Amazon briefly considered adding tariff surcharge labels to show how much Trump-era tariffs on Chinese goods raised prices, especially on low-cost Amazon Haul items.

After the White House slammed the move as “hostile and political,” accusing Amazon of siding with China, the company dropped the idea, saying "it was never officially approved."
