Clash Report
It appears that Iran's latest missile barrage targeting U.S. bases in Jordan is forcing defenders to expend a large number of interceptors.
Iran fired ~20 ballistic missiles (some with cluster warheads) at the U.S.-used Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan tonight.
Videos show massive Patriot salvos — OSINT counts put it at 60+ interceptors, some estimates over 100.
U.S. doctrine fires 2–4 Patriots per incoming missile, and cluster munitions force even more shots since the bomblets scatter after the carrier breaks up.
The cost: Each PAC-3 MSE interceptor runs roughly $4–5 million.
At 60+ interceptors that's somewhere around $240–500+ million in a single night.
If the higher counts (~100) are accurate, you're potentially looking at half a billion dollars of missiles expended in minutes.
The stockpile question looms large — months of high-intensity use have already burned through a significant share of U.S. PAC-3 inventory, and production can't keep pace with consumption at this rate.

The Trump administration did not oppose a UK-led move to sanction Israeli settlers and entities involved in expanding West Bank settlements, according to U.S. officials and Western diplomats.
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham briefed President Trump before the announcement. Trump did not object or ask the UK to change course.
U.S. officials also told Britain they shared concerns about Israel’s West Bank policy, even if they disagreed with the sanctions themselves.

AI researcher Jacob Coxon says he quit Anthropic and the industry, saying the labs are racing toward self-improving superintelligence without adequate control.
He warned the systems will soon be able to “hack anything, revolutionize any field overnight, and acquire real power and resources,” and that people inside the labs “earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade.”

The AfD is much stronger than they appear, I have friends who five years ago were telling me they would never vote for the AfD who are voting for the AfD — people who are Social Democrats.
When the AfD is polling at 40%, there are another ten points above that who would vote for them if they weren’t the AfD.

I think the AfD is very complex, and I’m not reading all the news all the time.
First of all, the rise of extreme parties was super predictable, and I may have been shouting about this for the last ten years.
You can’t bring in very deep and large migration into Germany without the buy-in of the German people and without an honest discussion of the consequences.

Palantir is the most popular brand in the world. People always frame us as the most unpopular.
We have, for every time you read someone attacking us, a hundred times the fans.
We’re the most popular brand in the world because I might be crazy. I am saying things you don’t want to hear.
Like: the West is superior. We need national service, which means helping out old people.

On the one hand, they say Russia is losing, so Ukraine must be supported in every possible way.
On the other hand, this same Russia, which in their view is losing, is supposedly preparing to attack Europe.
Putin has said this several times: "We are not going to attack anyone."
"But if all this talk means that you are preparing an attack of your own, then I assure you: the war will be completely different and very short."

It is simply true that this is costing us a lot of money, and it is also true that we are short of money overall.
Nevertheless, it is right to stand by Ukraine, because you always have to consider what would happen if we didn’t — if Ukraine lost.
That would mean that an aggressor like Russia could simply conquer territory again, shoot people, torture people, rape people and abduct children.

We also have expectations of Ukraine — including calling up men capable of defending the country.
We can provide data. We know who lives here, who receives social benefits, who is registered here and who has residency status.
I do believe these men can be contacted, and perhaps they could receive letters from the Ukrainian government saying that they are supposed to be called up.
