LastWave 1,000+ Stars & 150,000+ Downloads

What started as a small project to build a Last.fm scrobbler and YouTube client slowly turned into something I never expected.

Step by step, release by release, LastWave kept growing.

1,000+ GitHub Stars
150,000+ Downloads

Featured by YouTubers, tech channels, Telegram communities, Reddit, Twitter, and countless people who shared it with others.

But honestly, the numbers are only one part of this journey.

Along the way, we met so many new users, contributors, and friends. We also met our fair share of haters and somehow, even they became part of the journey.

To everyone who tested LastWave, reported bugs, suggested features, contributed code, shared it, starred the repository, or simply gave it a chance:

Thank you.

And a special shoutout to everyone who supported the project financially — whether it was a small contribution or a big one. Every bit of support helped us keep the servers running, experiment with new ideas, and continue developing LastWave.

Most importantly, thank you again for trusting LastWave.

This project has come a long way from where it started.

And we're nowhere near done.

This is just the beginning.

Credits Update

No more credits will be required for streaming. Streaming is going to be unlimited.
Credits will only be used for downloads going forward.

From next update onwards.

LastWave Desktop is coming today.

This is not a port and not an Electron app — it’s built from scratch for desktop.

Our regular Addon will also be supported on the desktop version.

Windows & Linux users are good to go.

Sorry, Mac users 😐🥀 — we can’t promise the same priority for macOS right now. If you want to help fix macOS bugs and improve support, PRs are always welcome.

See you on desktop.

Tonight, we're releasing LastWave Desktop.

And honestly, it’s going to be crazy. 😭

From all the desktop music apps and clients I’ve seen so far, I can confidently say LastWave Desktop is one of the cleanest, and without a doubt, one of the best Discord music streaming clients out there.

Of course, this is just the beginning. We’ll keep improving it and pushing it further.
And a huge thanks to my bros. Without them, I genuinely wouldn’t have been able to keep pushing the Android version at full pace while they're working on this.

I can’t even explain how grateful I am to Mrinmoy and Kehan brooo. ❤️

LastWave Desktop is officially here, bringing the LastWave experience to Windows, MacOS, Linux with a completely new desktop experience.

• Guest Mode: Browse, stream, download and get recommendations without Last.fm.

• Last.fm BYOK: Use your own API key + secret with proper validation and authentication.

• Local Taste Engine: Personalised recommendations based on your listening activity — Heavy Rotation, Jump Back In, Discovery, Personal Mix and Mix Lab.

• Lossless-First Playback: FLAC up to 24-bit/192kHz with YouTube fallback, WASAPI exclusive and bit-perfect playback on Windows.

• Synced Lyrics: LRCLIB + Apple Music word-by-word karaoke with per-track offset.

• Animated Artwork: Animated Now Playing artwork, official studio covers and YTM thumbnail fallback.

How would you rate the LastWave Desktop UI/UX, design layout, display responsiveness, and overall performance?

Good news guys, as you know our app was incorrectly flagged as trojan by Microsoft.
We submitted our app directly to Microsoft for manual review. They have officially confirmed it was a false positive triggered by their automated machine learning engines, and the detection has been completely removed. VirusTotal now shows a perfect clean score of 0/70!

Hey everyone, due to urgent personal reasons, I will be stepping back from work for a bit and will not be pushing feature updates or actively checking reports myself right now. That said, a new Android update focused purely on stability and crash fixes will be out soon, and I will be making sure behind the scenes that the lossless supply runs completely uninterrupted. The rest of the dev team is still around to maintain things and keep the project moving, so PRs are always welcome. Feel free to submit them and reach out to the other devs if you need anything, but please keep in mind they have their own lives and commitments, so do not expect instant replies. Thanks for your patience and understanding, catch you all soon.

Honestly, writing this message is genuinely hard and even making me tear up because of how deeply committed I am to this community and everything we built here, Sorry for disappointing.

Many guys are messaging me in private and in the group saying "get well soon," and some nonsense are even asking "breakup hogya kya 🫩🥀." I am completely fine and healthy. I am stepping back because I have my JEE in 3 months followed by my 12th CBSE boards 😂.

Credits just got a huge buff! You can now pull 1,000 credits/day on top of the usual baseline. Just go to the add-on site, link/authenticate GitHub, clear the quest, and grab your 1K per day. Enjoy!

Just around 400 stars left to complete 1K stars then I'll buy premium n flex , help me out guys , react 400 stars, fast - fast .

Gays n Girls n their obsession with Spotify n TWS, I don't know why they even call themselves audophile , I'm asking why , why bec. u've premium of spotify 🤒, idiots u're listening on max 320kbps ogg vorbis (Premium users 🥀🫩) that's even worse than yt 160-192kbps OPUS (FREE TIER), with worst algorithm , n u think u've pretty good sense n taste of music , Just stfu.

Btw no hate to YT music users , they get pretty good algorithm , OPUS detailing in such efficient bitrate is just next level n yt premium takes it one step ahead.
