• Enhanced Liquid Glass: Rebuilt the Liquid Glass experience with proper depth, translucency, reflections, and layering instead of the previous simple translucent blur effect.

• True Bit-Perfect: Improved bit-perfect playback with untouched DAC routing.

• YouTube Recommendations: Shifted the entire recommendation system from Last.fm to YouTube. Last.fm is now completely optional.

• Guest Login: Added Guest Login for using LastWave without an account.

• Spotify & Apple Music Import: Added native playlist importing from Spotify and Apple Music.

I know guys, 90% of you can’t differentiate FLAC and Opus with your eyes closed, yet everyone wants FLAC for streaming 😭

Then you download 1,000 FLAC songs and exploit the backend. Kids, I’m crying.

So I’m thinking of adding a smart output detector in LastWave. It’ll check your current audio output for Hi-Res, Dolby, supported DACs/codecs, etc.

No suitable Hi-Res output? → Opus.

Compatible IEM/DAC/Hi-Res setup? → FLAC.

Same for downloads u need to insert IEM/DAC/Hi-Res setup for enabling flac downloads . This means less useless FLAC traffic and fewer complaints, while I can focus on users actually using proper audio hardware.

Don’t cry kids, it’s just ragebait. I know you’ll still want FLAC while listening through your phone speaker. 💀

Sorry abusers,exploiters it’s time to end this.

We’re finally adding support for addons. Earlier I thought keeping everything available by default was fine — let everyone enjoy lossless by default.

But that’s clearly being abused now.

I’m seeing requests from single IPs for 8–10K songs, with people downloading entire thousands-song playlists at once. Accounts are getting suspended continuously, backend costs are increasing, and we simply can’t keep tolerating this.

So we’re moving to strict authentication and rate limits:

• Discord or Telegram account binding (optional anyone)
• 1 account = 1K requests/day maximum
• Addons for additional functionality

And 500 requests is already massive — assuming an average song is 4 minutes, that’s 2,000 minutes of music, more than 16-18 hours of playback every single day.

This isn’t about restricting normal users. It’s about stopping abuse from idiots, before it hurts everyone.

Please don’t ruin it for everyone else.
