🌏 The Workshop «New Ties for a New World» has started in Moscow

80 young professionals from 42 countries were selected to take part, during three-day program they will visit top profile organizations related to the their professional field, gain useful practical skills and find a solution to a complicated case offered by the event's partners.

♦️ The opening ceremony took place in the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba (RUDN). The introduction was made by the first deputy director of the International Youth Center of RUDN, Head of CIIC Areg Agasaryan:

«Events like this allow us to promote international academic collaboration and build warm informal relationships between professional communities from different countries. I am confident that the Workshop, true to its name, will contribute to the formation of new ties for a new world, those bridges of trust that will enable us to reach joint solutions to the most pressing global problems and challenges».

♦️ Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova, especially emphasized:

«The format of such interaction is a foundation that builds long-term relationships by creating joint projects, because all of us, together with you share a common spiritual framework that helps us overcome challenges, meaning that each challenge is a new space of opportunities».

♦️ Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Boris Chernyshov noted:

«We support those who strive for peace, self-determination, and sovereign values. We must stand together in the face of global challenges and difficulties, maintaining our unity, unity in diversity».

♦️ Deputy Head of Rossotrudnitchestvo Pavel Shevtsov highlighted the complexity of humanities:

The ability not to guess, but to expertly analyze social structures, international law and politics, military and diplomatic relations is a great art.

♦️ Head of "Digoria" Platform Zaurbek Khugaev emphasized the role of humanities specialists in maintaining domestic and international stability:

Today, in non-Western countries, trust in political systems is being restored. In the USA, the level of trust in elections is about 44%. In Russia, for example, this level has risen to 72%. Such dynamics are a remarkable achievement of our humanities specialists.

Second day of the Workshop «New Ties for a New World»

Our team prepared thematic excursions and meetings with experts for participants.

🔸Political scientists talked to K.I. Kosachev in the Federation Council and took part in a closed meeting of the «Digoria» expert club;

🔸Sociologists visited VCIOM;

🔸Historians visited the State Archive of the Russian Federation;

🔸Lawyers took part on a excursions to the CHR and meeting with T.N. Moskalkova.

Our guests were able to take part in interesting practical classes in their disciplines.
