☘️ Discuss both views
✅ Q: Some people think that public health within a country can be improved by government making laws regarding nutritious food. Others, however, think that health is a matter of personal choice and responsibility. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
💡 Answer:
Personal and public health are tightly related to food choices. While some people believe that the government should regulate nutrition to ensure public wellness, others argue that it should be people’s decision whether to pursue a healthy diet or not. This essay will discuss both points of view and explain why the authorities should not control the types of food people can buy.
Legislators could impose laws concerning nutritious food in an effort to have a healthier population, hence decreasing public health costs. Even if this could be considered a good idea, it would be very hard to implement. To achieve this target, the officials could impose a levy on unhealthy foods, or reduce their availability on the market. In Italy, for example, products such as carbonated sugary drinks and chips are heavily taxed. As a result, the sales of these items have decreased. However, if the authorities start to take control of what their citizens can or cannot eat, it may be deemed as curtailing customers’ freedom.
Personal freedom is seen as an extremely important human right. Therefore, many people think that only they should decide what food and drink they consume, and that it is wrong for governments to interfere with their personal choices. Doing so can indeed lead to public discontent. Alternatively, a better approach would be to launch awareness-raising campaigns about a healthy diet so that people would be able to make better-informed dietary decisions themselves.
All in all, authorities can exercise power to limit the selection of foods people have access to, but that would not be without consequences. Instead, governments should invest in education programs to educate people how they can improve their health simply through making wiser decisions about what they eat.

IELTS Listening: mastering part 1 🎧
Part 1 is supposed to be the easy part of the listening test. It is almost always a simple gap-fill exercise with basic information about some kind of booking or appointment.
But does this mean that you don't need to practise part 1? No.
I recommend doing lots of practice for part 1. You should be aiming for 10 out of 10 in this part of the listening test because you will probably lose points in parts 2, 3 and 4.
In fact, a good idea would be to focus only on part 1 until you regularly get 10 out of 10. Get as many of the official Cambridge books as you can, and do all of the part 1 questions.
Don't move on to parts 2, 3 and 4 until you master part 1.☝️

☘️ Agree / Disagree
✅ Q:It is impossible to help all people around the world in need so governments should focus on people from their own countries. What extent do you agree or disagree?
💡 Answer:
It is often argued that governments are not able to assist all individuals who need an assistance in every corner of the world as a consequence , they have to pay attention fully to people who are from their own countries. I, however, strongly disagree with the idea that if all governments tried to help together , they would manage it and be compelling power owing to developed countries and a desire for increasing the bridge of understanding between nations.
With regards to developed countries , all people who are in need around the world would be helped by governments. Although some believe that it is unmanageable to help world population , I deem that it could be accomplished by governments due to progressed countries. In other words, there are enough developed countries around the globe , whose financial status are higher and have grown well so some of them are advanced in medicine while some are excellent in other fields. To illustrate , there are several countries donate various goods for homeless and poor population every year. Hence, such countries could support world population in different ways.
Moreover, a number of poor and less developed countries not only such nations, but also progressed countries are being provided with crucial and important items and products by other countries in order to boost relationship between them. Even though some people consider that all governments should focus on their own population , I advocate the idea that comradeship and relationship play a significant role in our life so governments ought to think about it too. As an example , during the lockdown all governments supported with each other to improve bonds. This is because , if governments assist other ones , they will be helped when they are in need.
To sum up , it is true that helping all people is difficult enough , but governments should not stop assisting and supporting all people as much as possible due to rich countries and respect of nations.
