☘️ Advantage / Disadvantage
✅ Q: In the future all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers.
Do you think the advantages of driverless cars outweigh the disadvantages?
💡 Answer:
Advancements in transport technology is believed to replace drivers with AI in almost all forms of vehicles. It is estimated that cars and buses of the future will contain only commuters but drivers. I fully agree that this development brings about more merits than demerits.
From one perspective, some people claim that the introduction of AI into transportation will worsen the already-existing problem of unemployment in both developing and developed world. The share of logistics in the job market , today, is relatively high and if the trucks start being driven by intelligent programs, the drivers will have to be made redundant. Furthermore, such a radical change in people's every day lives may not be easily accepted by the societies who have settled down with conventional means of public and private transportation. It might take decades from the population of the world to fully adapt to this transformation and still there is a chance that this could never happen.
Nevertheless, the advantages that driverless cars will bring are immeasurable. First of all, the handicapped individuals in the society can be given a chance to take long-distance car trips by themselves if the driver would be a software program they can easily control. Moreover, Artificial Intelligence implemented in cars could potentially mitigate current traffic issues considerably. To illustrate, an absence of human factor and increased precision in driving will result in less congested roads in busy cities and fewer accidents caused by a human error. As an added benefit, public transportation system might also work more reliably owing to driverless buses which would strictly follow the time schedules.
To conclude, use of AI in cars to make them driverless will inevitably come with some short-term drawbacks. However, the advantageous sides it will eventually bring overshadow the disadvantages.

IELTS Writing Task 2 Sample | Band 8.5 🥇🏆
With few exceptions, almost every major city in the world has a homeless population. This essay will discuss the reasons why this issue exists and explore ways to deal with the problem.
There are a number of factors that contribute to the problem of homelessness. A major reason is that many cities have become extraordinarily expensive. People have high costs of living, and as soon as income cannot cover their expenses, they are often forced out of their homes and apartments and find themselves on the streets. An example of this occurred in the US after the 2009 financial crisis as 5 million Americans lost their homes to foreclosures and many ended up on the street or living in cars. Another reason is the normalisation of poverty. Too often, supposedly civilized societies come to accept homelessness as inevitable and do not take the required steps to address the problem.
However, there are actions that can be taken to deal with this issue. First and foremost, there must be the societal and political will to make sure that nobody is left on the streets. Though people may say that it is too expensive to house the homeless, the current Covid-19 crisis has proved that this is false. For safety reasons, many cities around the world have housed their homeless in vacant motels, hotels and apartments, proving that money was no obstacle the entire time. The other obvious solution is to prevent homelessness from occurring in the first place. This means that government needs to provide free access to mental health services and affordable housing.
In conclusion, although financial concerns are generally the direct and indirect causes of homelessness, having a society that makes the decision to fully end homelessness no matter the cost of services is the only way to find an answer to the problem.
