Thank you for all your hard work. My name is ####$$$$$. I work for a GYN practice in Gastonia NC. The employees have been told that the nonvaccinated employees are required to get tested each week and to wear N95 masks the entire 8 hrs we are inside the office building. We are not allowed to eat lunch in the break room with the vaccinated employees, we have to leave the building to eat. They gave an option for medical exemption, but no religious exemption. In light of the fact that the vaccinated can contract and transmit Covid just as well as the nonvaccinated, I see this as discrimination. I saw your video asking people to send names and numbers of facilities doing these things. The name of the office is Courtview OB/GYN. 704-854-3600. I will be refusing the weekly testing and at that point I am assuming I will be fired. Do you have any suggestions as to what other recourse I have? Thank you for any help.

Dear Terri Poe (CNO), Reid Jones, (CEO), Marty Box, (head of HR) , Stephanie Woods (head of ER services), Frankie Wallis & Chris Willaims (Managers or ER), and UAB Medicine,

It has come to my attention that the courageous hard working Nurses of your Emergency Department have made it known that they cannot continue in an abusive work relationship with your institution and administration. They have been tirelessly managing and handling the extreme demands that this Pandemic has brought and they can no longer continue if certain criteria are not met.

We know that your entire hospital of Nurses & staff have been downing from what has been going on and we also know that profits have never been higher for the pocket of your institution. After reviewing the monthly paycheck documentation (I have saved to my computer and ready to share publicly if necessary) that Terri Poe and all of the above Adminstration have received from July to August, it’s become quite apparent that Covid is a money generating season for your institution and you all have tremendously reaped GREAT financial benefit.

The reality of this situation is this. It’s not just the ICU that is being hit hard with Covid. It’s your WHOLE hospital system. I am not by ANY means downplaying how hardworking and deserving ICU’s are of incentive and critical care Covid pay, But I need to make this clear.

Your ICU patients are overflowing to IMCU’s. IMCU’s are basically taking care of a lot of (what should be) ICU patients and it’s a load and an acuity they aren’t used to. Your Med surg & regular floors are getting overflow of IMCU patients and these patients are heavier than they are used to. The acuity is higher across the board and we all know good and well you will do anything and everything to justify the distribution even if it means your. Nurses taking the hit.

Their licenses are being put on the line and they’re being manipulated into taking these patients that aren’t their normal acuities and load. And TBH, acuity is BULL CRAP. It’s a subjective label given to patients that is never reflective of reality. It’s reflective of what fits the mold of your hospital’s bottom line: getting patients in and money.

Your ER is the entry for ALL of this. Every single patient coming through m the door. And we all know good and well that your ER nurses are holding patients as inpatient and caring for them along with managing and triaging their actual ER load. And they’re doing it being unfairly exposed and short staffed. They are the beginning of the money making machine that you all are reaping the benefit of. They are the front of the FRONT LINE, but part of the WHOLE hard working system of other Nurses.

They aren’t here to play games. They are just as serious about the care of their patients as they are about ALL walking away if you don’t value them in the way they deserve. Your paychecks this past month would have been a fraction of what they were without your ER nurses and every nurse within.

You are pushing and pushing and pushing and instead of checking on their hearts and minds and souls you are checking on your bank statement bc you know what their efforts represent for your wallets.
