Last three days, EMSA-Haramaya stood strong in the fight against breast cancer through a series activities :- Breast cancer screening training on Oct 17 and a two-days Awareness & screening program (Oct 18–19). 💗

We kicked off with social media campaigns, then partnered with the Ali Bira Breast Cancer Treatment Center and the October Breast Cancer Support Group.

The program began with a training session on first day by Dr. Michael on breast cancer examination and followed by a site visit to the center where we explored patient care services and the center’s inspiring work.

The following days featured collaborative awareness program with partners and brought storytelling by breast cancer champions, awareness talks and interactive public sessions.

We then joined a solidarity walk wearing pink-themed t-shirts, accompanied by a marching band, through the streets of Harar all the way to the ancient Jugol Wall.

We concluded with free clinical breast examinations and teaching self-examination to the public.
