In March of 2021 Emma Burkey got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine because she worked with young children and was told she was putting their lives at risk.

The Democratic governors of New Jersey and Delaware will lift mask requirements for schools beginning next month, reflecting a nationwide shift towards normalcy as coronavirus caseload numbers fall and political pressure for a return to normalcy rises.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) will announce Monday that the state’s school mask mandate will end as of March 7, a spokesperson said. Delaware Gov. John Carney (D) said that mask requirements in K-12 public and private schools, as well as childcare facilities, would expire at the end of March. And Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, another Democrat, plans to discuss school mask policies at a news conference Monday.
