Omicron outbreak at Norway Christmas party is biggest outside S. Africa

"This party has been a super spreader event," Preben Aavitsland, a senior physician at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, told Reuters by email.

"Our working hypothesis is that at least half of the 120 participants were infected with the Omicron variant during the party.

All the attendees were fully vaccinated and had tested negative before the event.”

According to the CDC, an average of 18% of COVID-19 Hospitalizations resulted in Acute Renal Failure. The CDC also shows 3,482,780 COVID-19 hospital admissions. That would be 626,900 COVID-19 patients with kidney failure in the hospital.

The CDC also reports 790,766 COVID-19 deaths.
