Sami Pajari inherited the lead — 46.4 seconds clear — with two stages left on Sunday.

🛰️ Europe signs off on IRIS² satellite broadband plan

The European Commission has signed a formal agreement with manufacturers, ESA and other partners to move IRIS² — the EU's sovereign satellite broadband service — from planning into full-scale deployment. Negotiations ran from January.

Under the deal, the constellation grows to 348 satellites, up 66 from the original plan. ESA says the additional spacecraft will increase secure governmental capacity by 60% within the EU and 54% globally.

IRIS²'s primary mandate is reliable, secure connectivity for government users during emergencies, humanitarian operations and border surveillance. Broader commercial and civilian access is planned as a secondary layer, focused on areas without existing network coverage.

First launches are scheduled for 2029. Starlink currently operates more than 10,000 active satellites.

🃏 Target is slitting Pokémon card shrink wrap — a retail patch, not a cure

Pokémon cards have spent the last few years operating as a speculative asset: scalpers bulk-buy new releases, genuine collectors get nothing. Target now appears to have a corporate directive to cut the shrink wrap off boxes in-store and before online orders ship.

The logic is simple: a factory-sealed box is what commands the resale premium. Without the wrap, a flipper can't prove the rare pulls are untouched — secondary value drops. For a collector who wants the cards, the packaging is beside the point.

This is a friction measure at one retailer. Scalpers will likely shift to stores without the policy. The root imbalance stays intact: The Pokémon Company printed 10 billion cards last year and demand still outpaces supply. No official comment from Target yet, per IGN.

🎬 Four years off the screen — look what happens

Tom Holland's Spider-Man last appeared in cinemas in 2021. Four years of absence, apparently, does wonders for demand.

*Brand New Day* has grossed $1.67 billion in 12 days — the second-fastest film ever to cross $1 billion internationally, behind only *Avengers: Endgame*. Its second weekend alone pulled $236M overseas and $145M domestically, numbers most films never see on opening day.

🎮 Maximilian Dood uninstalled Marvel Tokon live on stream

The PC launch of the 4v4 superhero fighter has been a disaster from day one — constant stuttering, no fixes across the whole weekend, and a Steam rating that slid to 41% positive. 💸 Bitcoin ETFs just pulled in $853 million in a week

So here's the thing — BTC spot ETFs just had their best week since April: $853 million in net inflows, and out of that, $693 million went straight into BlackRock's IBIT alone.

The read is that institutions are quietly tiptoeing back in. The first half of the year was rough — ETFs are still down $4.5 billion net year-to-date, and bitcoin slid all the way to $60k by June. It crossed a billion dollars in six days, and now people are genuinely asking whether this is the movie that finally hits a billion domestically and three billion globally — neither has ever been done.
