STARTING XI:

Sanchez - 9 [MOTM]: Pulled off two incredible saves and kept Chelsea in the game in the second half.

Caicedo - 8: Flawless first half display with less defensive responsibility. Didn’t give Ndiaye a sniff.

Chalobah - 8.5: Impeccable defensively with 6 headed clearances and 3 recoveries. Brilliant in winning ball back for Jackson’s goal.

Colwill - 8: Excellent first half display on the ball, made a crucial interception second half to deny Beto going 1v1.

Cucurella - 8: Another solid performance defensively and on the ball. Didn’t make any silly mistakes playing out back.

Fernandez - 7.5: Assist for Jackson’s goal and made two chances. Few wayward passes in second half when on counter attack however.

Lavia - 8: Gave balance and defensive stability from the off. Showed real confidence on the ball too. Needs to stay fit.

Madueke - 8: Direct and positive 1v1 whether going down the byline or cutting inside. Got the better of Patterson all throughout.

Palmer - 6: Sketchy decision-making again although lacked options on the ball at times.

Neto - 8: Another shift defensively, winning 7 duels. Put in couple good crosses in first half which deserved an assist.

Jackson - 8: Huge confidence booster with a great technique and finish for his goal. Needs to keep ball better when holding up though.

SUBSTITUTES:

James - 7: Lost control in midfield when he came on but held his own physically.

Sancho - 6: Gave balance and calm off the bench at a time where the game was becoming too open.

Dewsbury-Hall - N/A
