i talk about this before. and i will say it again Reading books is a waste of time! Before you respond, let me explain why I've come to this conclusion. There was a time when I read books about fiction, life tips, and more. But what's the point if I don'tβ¦
Respond to Baki For My Post on Programming Books.
FYI: This is just conversation. NO HATE only educated people talking on the matter of the above title.
I think books are for people who want to learn and apply those things to their workflow to improve their skills. In life there are many things we forget to remember but apply them unconsciously. For example i don't think you can name all error syntax yet you know one when you see it. Reading makes you smarter by injecting this kind of mindset to the reader.
I don't think people are expected to name all of the stuff they read about. They rather expected to explain what they got from the book and how they applied it to their workflow. I think this is the most important part of reading books.
In fact with his argument below
π I don't think you can remember the code you wrote a year ago for your company so what is the point of writing code if you are not going to remember it, YOU SHOULD QUIT PROGRAMMING. right?
So people should read whether it is blog, books, and other educational materials.
Another thing he said was "
How can a person expected to walk in a dark room without a light? Regardless you will always fail unless you just know your stuff haha. You must have a starting point and that is where these kind of materials come in handy. Books are just one part of the learning process. Blogs can be a really good source of information too Yet Reading is a part of the learning process.
May be not many people achieve financial freedom by reading books "Rich Dad Poor Dad" but it is a good starting point for people who want to learn about financial freedom. I am sure you might have read, watch or listen about How can one create programming language, Have you created one? or another argument might be am sure you know how to avoid syntax error, yet you still make them. Does that mean knowing how to avoid syntax error is useless?
Anyways, I think whether or not people in programming like reading books(or others), I suggest you fight yourself to read stuff. At some point of your life this skill come in handy where you can read and understand things faster.
Have a beloved day.

For me, action is more important, and I learn best through trial and error"

I don't know who needs to hear this but as a student you have more time than after graduation so use your time properly. Improve yourself as much as possible.

π’ Important Announcement: Channel Rebranding!
Dear Learn Coding with Me community,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some changes happening in our beloved channel. After careful consideration, I've decided to rebrand the channel to better align with the evolving content.
Initially, "Learn Coding with Me" was all about coding tutorials. However, with the limited availability of free time, the content has shifted towards sharing my insights, thoughts, and views on programming and career-related topics.
For those who joined for coding tutorials, I regret to inform you that tutoring won't be the primary focus moving forward. Instead, I'll be sharing more of my perspectives, advice, and comments on technology-related matters.
I appreciate the incredible support and love you've shown throughout this journey. To those interested in hearing my opinions on tech, I'm excited for you to continue this new chapter with me.
Thank you for your understanding, and here's to more engaging discussions on technology!
Best,
Chapi Menge.

If you want to really look for a change may be change your perspective of how you wanna make a change on your career.
For example if you have been a Python developer, why don't you take a look at how python interpreted on Cpython.
If you have been a NodeJs developer go deeper to the realm of C++ to see how NodeJs environment works.
May be why don't you create a peer to peer Video call and push your boundaries.
Don't just create CRUD app with some adjustments. May be learn a new language like Rust, C, C++ or Golang even. Change your environment see how much comfortable are you with a new environment.
Are you just a framework guys or really can adopt new stuff easily.
Let's push the button and take the Red Pill. π

One of the best blog I have ever read is this one.
https://github.blog/2023-02-06-the-technology-behind-githubs-new-code-search/
It is about how GitHub Search works. It absolutely blows my mind. I read it like couple of time because I never understood it with only one time reading.
What is your favourite blog post ? I would love to read it.

One of the best thing I learned from life is patience.
In my life there was a time I couldn't even afford for sandals change so I used to say I hate shoes π ( in facts I couldn't afford it at the time).
I am not saying there wasn't people less than me but as a child you look up to your friends and neighbours so it was tough for me.
Thank God I never disappointed my family through that time. I loved them and now I love them even more.
Please be patient as a person you never know when your turning point is so this time I wanted to give 15 financially struggling student(university or highschool) to support your school.
This will only work through invitation. I will be posting how.
Stay strong πͺ and let's build ourself for more bright future. we can make it
