Hey devs! πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“

If you want to fast-track your career and land a dream job right out of school, you need to go hardcore on the advanced stuff. Don't just follow the curriculumβ€”go deep.
Here are some ambitious technical areas to focus on:

Deep Dive into Core Concepts

* Databases: Don't just learn SQL. Go deep into database internals, understand indexing strategies, and master advanced query optimization. Try to optimize a query on a huge, randomly-generated dataset to see the difference.

* Operating Systems: Learn about OS threads and asynchronous programming. Understand how they work at a low level and how to manage concurrency effectively.

* Language Internals: Dive into how your favorite programming language actually works. How does Python's interpreter execute code? How does JavaScript's single-threaded nature handle so many operations?

* Networking: Get to know tools like Nginx, Apache, and others. Understand how a web server processes requests, handles traffic, and serves content.
Build Ambitious Projects

* High-Volume Servers: Challenge yourself to build a local server that can handle a massive number of requests. Experiment with scaling and performance.

* VPS Exploration: Get your hands on a Virtual Private Server (VPS). Deploy your projects, learn how to configure domains and DNS records, and get comfortable in a real-world server environment.

* OAuth: Create your own OAuth implementation to understand how modern authentication and authorization work.

* Clone Projects You Admire: Find a project you love and try to recreate it from scratch. This is one of the best ways to learn the architecture of a complex system.

Do the most ambitious projects you can imagine. Document your entire journeyβ€”every success and every failure. Post your progress on X (Twitter), GitHub, or a personal blog.

I guarantee that if you dedicate yourself to this path, you will get the job you've always wanted, and the money will follow. Your hard work will speak for itself.

I had a really great time today with Tikvah Ethiopia! They organized an event about freelancing and we talked about so many things. It was a small group to start with, and I loved what we discussed.

A huge thank you to Dawit and Bereket for organizing this very minimalistic training. The discussion was fantastic!

πŸš€ Become an Agentic AI Builder β€” Free 12‑Week Certification by Ready Tensor

Ready Tensor’s Agentic AI Developer Certification is a free, project first 12‑week program designed to help you build and deploy real-world agentic AI systems. You'll complete three portfolio-ready projects using tools like LangChain, LangGraph, and vector databases, while deploying production-ready agents with FastAPI or Streamlit.

The course focuses on developing autonomous AI agents that can plan, reason, use memory, and act safely in complex environments. Certification is earned not by watching lectures, but by building β€” each project is reviewed against rigorous standards.

You can start anytime, and new cohorts begin monthly. Ideal for developers and engineers ready to go beyond chat prompts and start building true agentic systems.

if you are running on DigitalOcean Postgres db you need to do the following to make it work easily:

1. Copy the ca-certificate.crt file from the DigitalOcean dashboard and place it in your project root directory.
2. change the file mode to 644:
chmod 644 ca-certificate.crt
3. use this whenever you are running drizzle-kit commands:
NODE_EXTRA_CA_CERTS=./ca-certificate.crt pnpm drizzle-kit push or any other command
4. Vola! you are good to go!

found this in my one of forgotten repo. it might be helpful
