Changi Airport is stepping up measures to strengthen our defence against Covid-19 due to the occurrence of cases at the airport.
In addition to mandatory testing for all airport workers to quickly detect, isolate and treat any potential Covid-19 cases, Terminal 3 Basement 2 is now undergoing deep cleaning.
We will continue to uphold high standards for cleanliness and look forward to breaking the chain of transmission so that we can welcome you back with confidence.

Changi Airport and Jewel Changi Airport will be closed to the public from 13 to 26 May 2021 to allow all workers to be tested and for cleaning and disinfection of the premises and facilities. The airport remains open for air travel during this period. Our highest priority remains the well-being of our employees, visitors and passengers, and it is with the aim to stem the spread of undetected cases at Changi that we made this decision.
During this period, there will be no public access to Jewel. Only essential airport workers and departing passengers with air tickets will be allowed into the terminals.
With your support and understanding, we remain optimistic that we can win this ongoing fight against Covid-19 and hope to welcome you back with confidence after this.

Our cleaning crews have been doing a thorough deep-cleaning and disinfecting of Changi Airport's premises and facilities to ensure the safety of visitors, travellers and the airport community.

While additional cleaning and disinfection of our terminals and Jewel have been completed, the additional time will allow airport workers to be briefed and trained on new operating processes and requirements, as well as for enhanced safety protocols to be implemented smoothly.

More than 90% of frontline aviation workers have been vaccinated since January 2021. We are working with the aviation community to vaccinate more workers within the next few weeks.
