Post-doctoral Fellow position in the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)
We currently have a postdoctoral position within the multidisciplinary research team under the supervision of Dr. Jingying Zhou (https://www2.sbs.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/people/academic-staff/prof-zhou-jingying) and Prof. Ka-Fai To (https://cuhk.edu.hk/med/acp/acp/staff/kfto.html) in CUHK. Our research is focused on cancer immune microenvironment and therapeutic response, and how to leverage these knowledges to advance cancer immunotherapy approaches.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Work on research projects that align with personal interests, education background and the lab’s research focus.
· Generate data for grant applications and prepare manuscripts for publication.
· Work closely with other team members and external collaborators, including presenting progress internally or externally.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Train and supervise junior staffs and students.
· perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline, with a strong background in cancer biology, immunology, or neuroscience.
· ability to work independently with high motivation.
· experiences in handling laboratory animals, high dimensional flow cytometry, bioinformatic analysis, a good publication record and grant writing would be advantageous.
· Strong team player with excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
· The individual must have effective skills in oral and written communication, teamwork, and problem-solving and be adaptable to changes in technological and scientific directions.
· Commitment to the program for at least 2-3 years.
What we offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for up to 3 years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
