美国北达科他大学化学系助理教授于韬猝死（疑是心脏病），年仅39岁。于韬复旦大学本科毕业后，前往美国读博，后任北达科他大学化学系助理教授，至今孤身一人，没有家庭。 其家境一般，父母退休，在国内靠社保生活。其母患有癌症已是晚期。
