The draft budget of the city of Moscow for 2020 envisages an increase in the cost of installing cameras with facial recognition system by 14 times
Nolik has just upgraded to 0.8 version of CDM protocol but there are some issues with messages of 0.7 version. Working to solve this problem as fast as possible.
Nolik has been public for several months. During that period it was tested by more than a hundred people. It turned out, that Nolik's userbase is not growing, and retention rate is near zero. It means that, at least in this iteration, Nolik does not sovle any problems or cover any need. It is critical for a startup to stop doing things that don't work, and focus on the things that work. That is why, soon the public version of Nolik will be switched to Demo-mode and will have several restrictions.

The import/export of a seed phrase will be limited, also users won't be able to send messages to each other. The switch will be made in late December, so please make sure to backup your secret phrase if needed. You can also follow the instructions at chainify github page to deploy your own private environment and have access to all your messages even on your local machine.

Thank you all, guys, so much for your help and support. I will share the ideas on product development later on.
They say that good products start at the right time. Three years ago we started working on Nolik, but back then it didn't work out. Since then the protocol became much more mature, and Nolik was recreated several times. Today I'm happy to announce that about a month ago Chainify got a grant from Web3 Foundation to build Nolik on top of the Substrate framework. Yesterday the first milestone was achieved and committed for review. It turned out that Substrate is a very powerful framework and Nolik was embedded in it as a FRAME pallet. It means that any Substrate based chain will be able to use it and allow users to communicate without any censorship or third-party control. The links with the description of the protocol and milestone deliverables are attached to the message. I think it's a great time to give Nolik another try.

During the last nine months we've been working on a PoC of our decentralised messaging protocol. I'm happy to announce that the last W3F grant milestone was successfully accepted! We described the protocol idea and the achieved results in this article: https://medium.com/@amrbz/decentralising-messaging-f4cc73d4d9b7
It took about five years of research in secure decentralized messaging to understand that none of modern blockchains are suitable for this task. There are designed to send money, not data like text or random set of bytes. I’m starting from scratch again. This time building own blockchain engine.
The key concepts are covered at www.nolik.org
You can buy one of the beautiful bitcoin addresses to support the research which I’ve recently generated. The list of available addresses is available here:
