π Loosely based on Peter Watts' novel Echopraxia and created using generative AI technologies from Blomkamp's startup, Barley Studios. All characters have a voice and faces modeled on human actors, but all frames were created using the text-video generator Seedance 2.0 from ByteDance.
π₯ Blomkamp described Nightborne as a "test start" to demonstrate the capabilities of generative AI, and expressed a desire to start creating a full-length film in the future.
