Great post - theres only been two times that the VIX visibly traded above $65 in the past couple of decades, once during the financial crisis in 08' where the housing market collapsed and the second time was during the covid 2020 crash on March 18th of 2020. Tradfi markets had their absolute bottom within the following days and went on with a face melting rally for an entire year after that.

Both times when VIX hit near a peak price of $85 that marked the absolute bottom of the tradfi market and obviously because of the positive correlation between tradfi and crypto, BTC violently rebounded in the consequent days and made substantial new highs in the coming months

Treasuries are super important to the global financial ecosystem and can tell us a lot about the economic growth, inflation, interest rates and of course the market - recommend reading up on it via Grok or ChatGPT when you get the chance; its a bit complicated financial instrument if you're looking at it for the first time (I had no clue about fixed income markets even with an economics degree out of uni) but Vortex does a good job of explaining these macro concepts in a simple manner so thats why I refer to them
