Republic seeing beyond expected demand for Cere token offering, Token offering delayed
Dear community,
Due to overwhelming token purchase demand and given that we only have one chance to do this right, Republic is delaying the Cere token offering that was planned for today. We expected to see a lot of excitement for the offering, but had to conclude that the demand has been far greater than all of us could have expected.
Republic is reporting a 500% uptick in their usual user activity, just for the Cere Token offering. Based on these numbers and our mutual goal to provide a flawless token purchase process, Cere and Republic jointly decided that prevention is the best cure.
The Republic team will update us with more information in the coming days, including a detailed video walkthrough of the investment process, so that everyone is fully aware of the process launch day.

With the Cere token offering quickly nearing, we wanted to let you all know that we listened to your requests for lowering the maximum allocation on Republic.
💥 Due to an immense amount of interest, we decided to stimulate decentralization of the network by lowering the maximum cap per token purchaser to $25,000 for the first 3 hours of the token offering.
👨🏽💻 The maximum token purchase amount for any token purchaser is $25,000. After the first three hours, the maximum cap will increase to $250,000.
Token purchases cannot be increased, so if you plan on investing more than $25,000 you will have to take the chances of waiting for the limit increase.

Due to the Ethereum Berlin upgrade happening on the 15th of April, the Vault, Bridge and DAO Pad deposits/withdrawals will be suspended tomorrow starting at 8.30 AM UTC and will be enabled back when the network stabilizes.
The CERE sale will be posponed as well and will be starting on 21st of April

🗣 The last 36 hours have been hectic for everyone. We raised over $26.3M and a additional $64M+ in waitlist interest.
❤️ We would like to use this moment to thank our wonderful community for all the support and remarks we have been receiving. You guys rock!
❓We are aware of the fact that some people did not have a optimal token purchase experience during the offering. Republic made an official statement about this on their blog that is linked below.
"Our mission at Republic was to provide a first-come-first-serve opportunity to purchase Cere tokens. In order to accomplish this, we implemented a queueing solution that in retrospect had unintended impact to some investors. If you were an token purchaser who was adversely affected by this queuing system, we are sorry that it resulted in a poor token purchase experience. In keeping with our commitment to transparency, we would like to explain what happened and assure you that we are committed to improve the experience for future token sales."
