๐ฅWe measured the performance of different NIST-recommended post-quantum signatures on the average PC ((Memory - 5,8 GiB, Processor - Intelยฎ Coreโข i3-1115G4 @ 3.00ghz ร 2, OS Name - Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS, OS Type - 64-bit).
The Falcon, CRYSTALS-Dilithium and SPHINCS+ algorithms were tested.
Two parameters were studied: transaction-signing speed and signature verification speed.
For testing, we ran a loop for 1000 iterations with the following steps:
๐ป creating a random message
๐ป signing this message
๐ป signature verification
โ ๏ธBased on the testing results, we will be able to select the optimal node configuration for maximum performance.
For example, during testing, the SPHINCS+ algorithm performed worst of all. It's heavy and too slow, so we won't be adding support for it in our wallets.
But FALCON and CRYSTALS-Dilithium turned out to be quite fast. At the same time, FALCON is faster at verification, which means that if it is not inferior in security to CRYSTALS-Dilithium, then it will be preferable to use it.

๐ Cellframe Dashboard Update 2.12-72!
Whatโs new:
โ We have redesigned the logging mechanism and eliminated redundancy. Now, logs will take up less space and will be split into several small files, which provides greater ease of use
โ Fixed an issue with the ticker token output in the history for unstake transactions
โ Adjusted the layout in the Diagnostics tab
โ Redesigned the network panel, updated statuses & added an intermediate one that displays the processing of a request in the node
โ Stabilized the node operation on MacOS
โ๏ธ The build includes version node 5.2-273

๐ฃ From today onwards we will be reducing staking rewards by 2 times.
โ However, the remaining half will go to validators. The reward will be visible and able to be collected shortly after one of the forthcoming updates of Cellframe Node.
๐ This means that validators will start to see and receive significantly larger rewards, allowing them to earn more.

Is it possible to maintain the level of staking income?
โThis is the most popular question in our social networks right now.
๐ We completely understand community's excitement and we hurry to inform you that there is a way to maintain staking income at the same level - you need to either raise a masternode yourself or use the key๐๏ธof someone who will maintain the node and simply share income with them in the future.

We created the Cellframe Network with a unique implementation of two-layer sharding, conditional transactions, and multi-party computing๐ป
This provides seamless compatibility, fast๐and cost-efficient transactions, in addition to integrated quantum security measures.
And since our platform was built from scratch, using the pure C language, t-dApps built on our SDK can be run on any device - from enterprise-level mainframes to your home refrigerator.
๐ This allows developers to create the widest possible range of applications.
We are committed to providing ample opportunities for growth and engaging audiences for projects built on our blockchain.
โ We will discuss this in more detail in one of our upcoming posts - be sure not to miss it!

โก Rewards for validators with auto-collection implemented!
Earlier, we reported that validator rewards would increase and that we were preparing a feature that would allow rewards to be collected for signing any blocks in the Backbone network.
You can manually collect rewards๐using the following command: block reward collect [-hashes -cert -fee]. The current block signature reward fund for validators is 1.5M CELL per year.
โ ๏ธ This option is already available in the master branch and is available for validators!
We have also worked on automating the collection process: it is no longer necessary to manually specify the hash of each block signed by the validator. And to ensure the collection is not offset by the fee for collection, we have added a minimum limit of 10 blocks.
The total amount that will be collected in the next auto-collection transaction can be found out via the block autocollect status command.
โ When choosing between โmanualโ and automatic block reward collection, auto-collection will almost always be the better option.
โ For more information about rewards and to keep up-to-date with the latest development news, you can read in our latest worklog issue for November.
