The new build of Cellframe Dashboard 2.12.43 is now available for download!

We continue to work on improving the functionality of the application. In this version we:

- Updated the node version (updated to 5.2-255).
- Configured the tracking and display of transactions that are in processing.
- Fixed the processing and display of commission transactions from signed blocks.
- Reworked the maths involved in the the generating of transactions, including calculating interest when sending.
- Fixed the accounting of commissions when sending transactions.
- Improved functionality of wallet activation through the console. Now both networks and wallet transaction history are correctly displayed in the application.
- Fixed infinite LastActions and TX explorer loading spinner when there are no transactions.

Question: Could you please explain to us, using simple language, the problem that Cellframe aims to solve in the cryptocurrency landscape?

Answer: Firstly, Cellframe aims to address the quantum threat. Quantum computing is advancing rapidly, and future quantum computers could potentially break the classic cryptography currently used in our software. This poses a significant risk, especially for the blockchain industry.

Secondly, Cellframe seeks to tackle the issue of blockchain integration. While modern blockchains excel in building financial applications, they often struggle with other types of applications. By offering a service-oriented platform, Cellframe provides developers with the tools to build various services over the blockchain.

Lastly, Cellframe focuses on the challenge of interoperability between different platforms. They propose their own vision and solutions for facilitating communication between diverse blockchains.

Cellframe is a quantum-resistant blockchain. Let's address the following:
1)How is our quantum protection arranged?
2) How can we be sure of its effectiveness?

We use post-quantum signatures recommended by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology of the US Department of Commerce).

With regards to classical cryptography only the current iteration of data can be stored in memory in order to speed up the process. In post-quantum cryptography, all intermediate data must be stored. This requires a substantial amount of memory - quantum computers are not yet able to do this. But this protection is also not absolute. According to our calculations, it should be enough for about a hundred years, until we have direct quantum communication and quantum encryption.

In connection with the launch of the mainnet, a lot is being said about the possibility of running a master node on the Cellframe network; however, master nodes are far from the only node option on our blockchain. With that in mind, today we turn our attention to the types and functions of Cellframe nodes.

Master nodes. They can add data to the block chain, participate in consensus and voting, and provide services.

Full nodes. They store an exact copy of the current version of the blockchain, i.e. since the last fork. They store data for all the shards and calculate balances for them.

Light nodes. Only those transactions that are relevant to their own balance are stored in the ledger.

Root nodes. They enable the creation of new chains in the network (or even new networks) using the Proof-of-Authority consensus.

Archive nodes. They keep a complete history of data and transactions, regardless of forks, for all shards of the network and, if necessary, add new ones.

Dear community!

At the moment only information about earnings on transaction commissions is displayed for masternodes. Data on earnings from block generation (the main source of income for masternodes) will be available in the next update. We will release it soon - stay tuned!

Question: t-dApps - which limitations of dApps do they solve?

Answer: t-dApps differ from dApps by the fact that they have no owner. Anyone can run t-dApp and generate income with it (with some small developer fees). For example, you can bring up a Cellframe node on your computer with a public IP, stake some KEL tokens for the KelVPN network and share your network broadband for tokens.

That's how t-dApps works: you run the app as a service, without being limited by a smart contract environment and centralized money processing. It also increases security, since there are no single points where all the money is passing through and could potentially be stolen.

The new Cellframe Dashboard 2.12.48 build is available for download!

In this build we have added a new version of Cellframe Node (now 5.2.272) and made some improvements to the application functionality:

- Implemented the multi-threaded mode of the Cellframe Dashboard service. Now it processes commands faster, not one by one as before, but in parallel.

- Improved the stability of the application for Windows and MacOS by updating the Cellframe Node version.

- Added a button with detailed information about commissions in the LastActions form.

- Fixed duplication of transactions in the history.

- Implemented the ability to add a password to wallets that were created earlier without a password.

Question: Is it true that Cellframe code is used in Fusion Reactor?

Answers Cellframe CEO Dmitry Gerasimov: β€œYes, it's true. I'm working at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Science. Part of the Celframe code that names the DAP SDK is used in my science work. This SDK is a common-usage library and it was used for embedded ADC systems on gamma rays and neutron detectors.
These detectors are used now for experimental fusion reactors, synchrotrons, particle accelerators and some space implementations are also coming”.
