Turkey - USA part 2
Situation became critical after the recent terrorist attack on Istiklal street that left 6 dead and 81 injured.
President Erdogan called it a terrorist attack on the heart of Turkey. The suspect has been detained and is allegedly a part of Kurdish terrorist group.
Consequences of this act of terror are not clear yet. Kurds behind the scenes are backed by the U.S. (especially in Syria) & by the EU. This attack will further undermine Turkish relations with them.
As a condition for NATO membership approval, Turkey has demanded from Finland and Sweden to extradite individuals that are, according to Turkey, related to Kurdish terrorist organizations. Finland & Sweden have not yet fully complied with these demands.
Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu rejected the condolences message from USA after the teract. He said it is like “a killer being first to show up at a crime scene." Istiklal Street is our child. If we hadn't caught the attacker, she would have fled to Greece today."

He stated: "there will be no peace agreement & no Minsk-3."
"WWII finished only after the allies invasion in Normandy on D-day. So the operation will continue."
As prerequisitives for any peace negotiations he mentioned between other:
1. To be safe from radiation & nuclear hits (he did not mention the word "guarantees". Interesting what he has in mind)
2. Food & Energy security.
3. Release of all Ukrainian prisoners. Exchange in a format "all for all". (The challenge here is that there are many more Ukrainian prisoners than Russian prisoners)
4. Implementation of the UN Charter & restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
5. Withdrawal of all Russian troops from Ukraine.
6. Prevention of future escalation with guarantees.
His position is to not negotiate.
Right now for first time after a pause of two weeks the energy infrastructure in 10 cities of Ukraine is again being hit.

A lot of rumours were circulated last two weeks for ongoing direct negotiations between USA & RF for end of the conflict in Ukraine.

What enhanced these thoughts last several days that we might be reaching peace?

🏁 the return of RF to grain deal

RF forces knew exactly where he is even before his arrival. And there was not even 1 missile fired in a region a few km distance from Russian forces.
The explanation given by Ukraine & Western media today was again that RF has ran out of missiles.....
