USA midterm elections

The battle for the Senate is fierce.

3 seats remain. Democrats are winning Arizona.

In that case the 2 seats remaining Georgia & Nevada will define the winner.

Assuming Nevada goes to Republicans then all the eyes will be focused on Georgia battle.

Head-to-head battle between Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock & Republican Herschel Walker. This will go to a 2nd round (6th Dec) as none of the 2 candidates gathered 50% on 8th November.

⚡️ Special forces of Ukraine took yesterday afternoon control of the city of Kherson. Ukrainian army took control also of most of the villages that Russians evacuated last days on the one side of Dnieper river near the city of Kherson.

Journalists are not allowed in the city yet as army of Ukr is performing "filtration" among the local population!

They are searching for people who either voted for RU in the recent referendum or for locals who cooperated with Russians.

The first reports coming from village of Snihurivka (50km from Kherson city) are very concerning... Snihurivka was taken by Ukraine already yesterday morning....

In Kherson city not everyone was evacuated. Most of the pro Russians civilians & the Russian army was indeed evacuated on time. As a result most of the people who remained in Kherson city are pro Ukrainian.

In the recent referendum around 15% of total region of Kherson did not vote. Also 13% of those who did vote selected Ukraine. (87% pro RU - 13% pro Ukr). These people yesterday celebrated the arrival of Ukr forces in the city of Kherson.

However in the city after evacuation remains a small percent of pro Russian population. Noone can say exactly how many. It is mainly older people, people who cannot move as well as their relatives who decided to stay. In addition there are people who were offered to be evacuated but did not want to leave their property. All night yesterday Ukrainian army was performing filtration.

The info that civilians are being evacuated was known to everyone 10 days ago. The info RU troops are ordered to leave became publicly known 2 days ago.

Why UN is not there present together with Ukrainian army?

It is more of a rhetorical question. Noone expects any answer.

The fact that the Ukrainian population was there to meet the Ukrainian soldiers is a positive not a negative fact. It proves RU army did not proceed to "filtration" operations for those who voted for Ukraine.

This is the essence of minorities. To be allowed to live and co-exist.

⚡️ The local Donetsk army of RF took under complete control the Donetsk airport and all of its surrounding areas.

Also yesterday night the Donetsk Army Corps of RF took the village of Mayorsk in the direction of Dzerzhinsk.

From a humanitarian point of view, taking Mayorsk is important. It allows to provide water to the residents of Gorlovka and Donetsk - there is a dam in the city, the opening of which will restore the water supply to the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal.

If the car industry is going to cut emissions and conserve resources, cellulose nanofiber is one way to go. It’s made out of agricultural waste. It can be injection-moulded into parts. The car is lighter, so it needs less fuel. Over its life cycle, it generates 2,000kg less emissions than a typical car. And the parts are recyclable.

⚡️ Breaking news

Russian hackers group massively attacked Greece governmental sites yesterday!

Russian group hacked key governmental websites like the Minister of Defence!, the Greek army portal, the ministry of Health, e-government services and several other websites.

They group declared a war to Greece as a response to Prime Minister of Greece statement earlier this month " as all EU we are on war with Russia".

Also Greece sent weapons and even tanks to Ukraine 2 weeks ago.

Their exact statement: " Blocking Greece state network infrastructure for betraying Russia. Its nothing personal, you contribute to the death of our people - we contribute to your death. "

The unions mobilized in Bavaria & in Baden-Württemberg.

They are demanding an 8% rise for employees in automotive, metal & electrical industries due to soaring inflation & energy bills, which are now more than 40% higher.

German government proposed an one-off 3,000€ payment. Workers insist on permanent 8% raise in addition to the one-off payment.

USA midterm elections

Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto is projected to narrowly defeat Republican challenger Adam Laxalt in Nevada. With 98% of votes counted she is expected to win.

This secures control of the Senate for the Democrats!

They reach 50 seats vs. 49 of Republicans. So even if the last state in Georgia goes to Republicans there will be a tie 50-50.

But then the VP and member of Democrats Kamala Harris has the decisive vote. So a tie means Democrats keep control of the Senate!
