READING: YES/NO/NOT GIVEN strategy 🎯🧩

1⃣ Read the instructions carefully. Double-check whether it is a YES/NO/NOT GIVEN or a TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN question.

2⃣ Read the statements and try to understand the meaning of each. Do this before reading the text.

3⃣ Think about possible synonyms that might appear in the text and note any qualifying words in the statements such as, all, some, always, often. This will make your brain alerts for them when you scan the text.

4⃣ Underline keywords. You won’t necessarily find the exact words in the text due to the extensive use of synonyms and paraphrasing in Y/N/NG questions but enough will be present to make doing this worthwhile.

5⃣ Re-read statement 1 and scan the first paragraph, maybe two, for the key words or synonyms of them. Scanning will locate where the answer is but detailed reading of this section of the text is now needed to determine the opinion of the writer in relation to the statement.

6⃣ Make your decision. Remember to consider these three things:

1. To be YES, the view of the writer must exactly match the statement even if the words are different.

2. Look carefully for qualifying words that might change the meaning.

3. If you are struggling to find the writer’s opinion it’s probably because it isn’t there, i.e. it’s NOT GIVEN.

7⃣ Repeat this process for the remaining questions.

IF YOU HAVEN’T ACHIEVED THE RESULT YOU WANT, IT IS BECAUSE YOU HAVEN’T BECOME THE PERSON WHO DESERVE THIS RESULT. 🔥🔥🔥

#motivation

These words hit me when I saw them on the Internet. These words of wisdom gave answers to many pressing questions on my mind.

We all want something. We want to richer, fitter, happier, healthier, more intelligent, more successful, more stylish, so on and so forth. We are so obsessed with achieving results that we easily fall into depression when we don’t see the results.

THIS IS WHAT ADULT LIFE IS FOR MOST OF US. We eat ourselves by blaming ourselves for NOT HAVING THE RESULTS WE YIELD FOR in life. This is the reason why most adults feel constantly under pressure.

THAT BEING SAD, while we are too fixated on getting these results, we forget ONE GOLDEN RULE OF LIFE. We forget that the person who will take YOU to these results is ONLY YOU.

If you are not richer than before, this is because you haven’t learnt new skills and knowledge to earn more money.

If you haven’t become fitter, this is because you haven’t become the person who exercises regularly and follows a healthy diet.

If you haven’t achieved your dream score in IELTS, this is because you haven’t become the person who constantly works on his/her English language skills.

The list goes on and on. Whatever goal you set requires you to become a better version of yourself.

Comment below what result you have set your mind to and inspire others to become a better version of themselves. 👇

AGAR SIZ KO’ZLAGAN MAQSADINGIZGA ERISHA OLMAGAN BO’LSANGIZ, SHU MAQSADGA SAZOVOR ODAM DARAJASIGA HALI YETMAGAN BO’LASIZ.🔥🔥🔥

#motivatsiya

Bu dono so’zlarni internetda ilk marotaba ko’rganimda, meni xayolimda o’t chaqnagandek bo’ldi. Bu so’zlar meni qiynayotgan savollarga javobni ko’rsatdi.

Ulg’ayganingiz sari hayot qiyinlashib boradi. Chunki biz doim nimagadir erishishni istaymiz. Doim avvalgidan baxtliroq, aqlliroq, boyroq, chiroyliroq, sog’lomroq va yana nimadirroq bo’lishni istaymiz.

Nimagadir erishishni shu darajada kuchli istagandan, o’zimizni doim ezishni boshlaymiz. E’tibor berganmisiz, katta odamlar ko’pincha depressiyada bo’ladi, chunki ular doim nimadirni hohlashadi.

Ammo, natijalarni ko’p o’ylayvergandan, asosiy bir narsani unutib qo’yamiz. Xo’sh, biz aslida o’zimiz istaydigan darajaga loyiq odamga aylandikmi?

Agar hozir oldingidan boyroq bo’lmasak, demak, biz boy bo’lish uchun kerakli bilim va malakalarga ega emasmiz.

Agar oldingidan sog’lomroq bo’lmasak, sport bilan muntazam shug’ullanuvchi va to’g’ri ovqatlanadigan odamga aylanmaganmiz.

Agar IELTS imtihonidan o’zimiz kutgandek, yuqori bal ololmagan bo’lsak, demak ingliz tili bilimi ustida muntazam ishlaydigan odamga aylanmaganmiz.

Bu ro’yxatni yana uzoq davom ettirish mumkin. Biz oldimizga qo’ygan har bir maqsad, yanada mukammalroq inson bo’lishimizni talab qiladi.

Izohlarda oldingizga qo’ygan maqsadingizni yozing va shu orqali bir-birimiz maqsad sari harakat qilishga ruhlantiraylik! 👇

🎼 everything i wanted
🎤 Song by Billie Eilish

📝Lyrics:

I had a dream
I got everything I wanted
Not what you'd think
And if I'm being honest
It might've been a nightmare
To anyone who might care

Thought I could fly (fly)
So I stepped off the Golden, hmm
Nobody cried
Nobody even noticed
I saw them standing right there
Kinda thought they might care

I had a dream
Got everything I wanted
But when I wake up, I see
You with me

And you say
"As long as I'm here, no one can hurt you"
Don't wanna lie here, but you can learn to
If I could change the way that you see yourself
You wouldn't wonder why you're here
They don't deserve you

I tried to scream
But my head was underwater
They called me weak
Like I'm not just somebody's daughter
Could've been a nightmare
But it felt like they were right there

And it feels like yesterday was a year ago
But I don't wanna let anybody know
'Cause everybody wants something from me now
And I don't wanna let 'em down

I had a dream
I got everything I wanted
But when I wake up, I see
You with me

And you say
"As long as I'm here, no one can hurt you"
Don't wanna lie here, but you can learn to
If I could change the way that you see yourself
You wouldn't wonder why you're here
They don't deserve you

If I knew it all then, would I do it again?
Would I do it again?
If they knew what they said would go straight to my head
What would they say instead?
If I knew it all then, would I do it again?
Would I do it again?
If they knew what they said would go straight to my head
What would they say instead?
