Another important difference between the CD IELTS and the paper-based IELTS lies in the Writing section.

In the paper-based test, all students taking the exam on the same day in Uzbekistan usually received the same Task 1 and Task 2 questions, regardless of their test centre.

However, the CD IELTS is quite different. In this version, there are typically only up to 20 candidates in a room, and each student may receive different Task 1 and Task 2 questions. For example, while one student might get a map and a "discuss both views and give your opinion" essay, another might receive a bar chart and an "agree or disagree" question.

These days, you’re working hard to improve your typing speed, but there hasn’t been much progress yet.

Here’s another approach that might help: delete the Telegram app from your smartphone and install Telegram Desktop on your laptop.

This way, you'll be encouraged to type more, even when chatting with friends.

Plus, since you can’t easily use your laptop when you are walking or multitasking, you’ll be less distracted and more productive.

Since there is no spell check or dictionary in the CD IELTS, you should turn off these features while practicing in Microsoft Word to avoid becoming dependent on them.

If you need to change your paper-based IELTS test date in Uzbekistan, you can request a free transfer up to 35 days before your scheduled test.

For the CD IELTS (computer-delivered) test, you can change the date for free up to 15 days before your test.

If you request a transfer less than 35 days (paper-based) or 15 days (CD IELTS) before the test, you will need to pay a 25% administrative fee.

Note: You can use this option only once.

Early reports of AI’s impact on learning are not encouraging. One preliminary study published in June found that adults who use ChatGPT to write essays demonstrate weaker critical-thinking skills over time than participants who use search engines or no technology at all. It remains unclear how such tools will affect children’s brains over the long term, but the implications for writing and math skills development are cause for concern.
