The bar chart illustrates the typical amount of time social media users spent on four platforms between 2016 and 2020.

Overall, the average time spent on all platforms except Facebook increased, with different platforms taking the lead at different times. Moreover, while the time spent on Twitter rose steadily, Facebook saw a consistent decline.

Another important difference between the CD IELTS and the paper-based IELTS lies in the Writing section.

In the paper-based test, all students taking the exam on the same day in Uzbekistan usually received the same Task 1 and Task 2 questions, regardless of their test centre.

However, the CD IELTS is quite different. In this version, there are typically only up to 20 candidates in a room, and each student may receive different Task 1 and Task 2 questions. For example, while one student might get a map and a "discuss both views and give your opinion" essay, another might receive a bar chart and an "agree or disagree" question.
