Making Web 3.0 Usable — Part 2
How to Make Web 3.0 Take Off
The current user experience around transaction confirmation is highly tedious. How can Web 3.0 become a consumer go-to when it seemingly dislikes its own consumer base? https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#00ef
The key to ensuring smooth online transactions is creating an easy checkout process. Web 3.0 has yet to reach this stage. Read on to learn what may be the solution to this: https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#1181
Varying tokens, fluctuating exchange rates, and floating currencies make transactions on Web 3.0 unclear. Tokens displayed without revealing their worth or corresponding exchange rates cause transactions on Web 3.0 to be quite a challenge. https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#6ddc
One way to remedy the uncertainty surrounding exchange rates on a blockchain is to establish a foundation where conversion to a local currency occurs. https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#6d75
Most dApps assume users already have the knowledge to set up their wallets and obtain tokens.
Unfortunately, many users are not familiar with these steps. Moreover, if users need specialized tokens, they will need to navigate decentralized exchanges. https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#8659

Some fiat-to-crypto gateways are developing ways to streamline and clarify the onboarding process.
Here are some examples. Read more here: https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#9c6c

After users set up their wallets and learn the ins and outs of floating currencies, they still have to switch between dual networks when they want to process a transaction.
This process is yet another challenge for them. https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#76d6

Tools like WalletConnect 2.0 use an open protocol that establishes pairings between two apps and devices by way of a relay server that simplifies navigating cross-chain instances. https://t.co/WKgh0X54cV
Navigating between the two layers of the blockchain takes a lot of time. Deposits and withdrawals between the two networks can take a lengthy period considerably. https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#eb95
Some dApps are developing protocols designed to quicken and simplify transfers between different chains.
Projects like these operate by requiring users to pay a small fee for an expedited bridging process between layer 1 and layer 2. https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#de0f

There are currently too many dApps designed for individual functions; there are dApps for buying tokens, trading ETH, minting NFTs, bridging tokens, and so on. https://medium.com/cardstack/making-web-3-0-usable-part-1-e4351003a478#244c
Here's the progress update the Cardstack team has made in these recent weeks:
Beta Program: We have rolled out features and bug fixes to our beta program participants that will become features in the Card Pay dApp and the Card Wallet mobile app.
App Stability: Once the feature completeness is improved, we will start a public beta where users can download the wallet directly from TestFlight and request test tokens to exercise the full life cycle of token suppliers, prepaid card issuers, and merchants and consumers.
