To achieve this, we're bringing our smart contract up to the latest industry standards. That's why we're performing our 2nd major smart contract upgrade, which adopts ZeppelinOS, among other improvements

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Transactions will be disabled while we perform the upgrade. It's planned to begin Tuesday, Sep. 11, at 9:00 AM EST (15:00 CEST) and will last an estimated 8-12 hours.

Our token's Ethereum address will also change once the upgrade is complete. You'll be able to find the updated address at our ENS address cardstack.eth on Etherscan, and we'll announce it here on Telegram as well.

We’ve been working hard on the deployment engineering and the associated security audits for this smart contract architecture upgrade, which held back some of the highly-anticipated integrations for CARD token. With this new upgrade, we expect those integrations to happen quickly thereafter. Stay tuned for announcements.
Cardstack is now conducting its smart contract upgrade to adopt ZeppelinOS. ALL TOKEN TRANSFERS ARE NOW PAUSED UNTIL THE UPGRADE IS COMPLETE. Thank you for your patience.
Cardstack's smart contract upgrade is now complete.

The new, official address for Cardstack Token (CARD) as of September 12, 2018 (00:00 UTC) is:

0x954b890704693af242613edEf1B603825afcD708

This address may be verified by looking up our ENS address, cardstack.eth: https://etherscan.io/address/cardstack.eth

Exchanges have been notified of our new address and will be updating their systems to reflect this soon. Direct token transfers are now reactivated.

If you have Cardstack Tokens: You do not need to do anything, except to use the new address going forward! We want to make sure you have a great user experience, so the hard part of swapping tokens and transferring balances has been completed and paid for by our team.

This major upgrade also enables us to make future upgrades without changing our contract address, to further improve the user experience.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THOSE STORING CARD ON IDEX:

The amount of CARD you held on IDEX prior to our smart contract upgrade will be airdropped directly to you from our new smart contract address beginning with 0x954b.

Both CARDOLD and CARD balances on IDEX can be dismissed, as those funds have been frozen and locked within IDEX’s smart contract. For the purpose of calculating the circulation of CARD tokens, tokens in the IDEX smart contract should be considered “burned”.

If you would like to continue storing your CARD on IDEX, you must redeposit your CARD in IDEX after you receive the airdrop from us.

The newly-minted CARD used for these direct airdrops will replace the amount that was frozen in IDEX’s smart contract on a 1-to-1 basis.

As always, feel free to reach out to the team on the Telegram community channel with any questions or concerns.

What can teenagers teach us about blockchain? Turns out, a lot.

Chris judged a student hackathon last weekend, where a team of 16-year-olds won by creating a blockchain system for health data.
