Are you ready for the next phase? 

Project Catalyst is all about supporting community innovation on Cardano. The idea phase is where the rubber meets the road. During the challenge phase, we asked you to consider ideas to inspire others to build on Cardano in the next 6 months. Now, we want to hear how you would make that a reality.

The idea phase begins today, on September 23rd and it continues until the 30th. 

Cardano is growing into the most advanced blockchain platform in the world. But this isn't just about the technology. Building a global financial and social operating system will take input from everyone in the community – both technical and non-technical. 

So we’re looking for a wide range of ideas from our diverse global community. Anything from marketing initiatives and infrastructure development, to community collaboration and business development – we want to hear from you. Regardless of your background, we hope you will make your voice heard.

The idea phase is all about how we can work together to make Cardano better. That’s why we encourage you to contribute on your own, with a team, or in collaboration with people outside of the Cardano ecosystem. Hi Fund2 team!

Our first public fund for Project Catalyst is moving forward at lightning speed and now the idea submission phase is coming to an end. 

We’ve asked you to share how you would encourage people to build on Cardano in the next six months. And you have responded with some incredible ideas. Community members are giving ‘kudos’ and incredible feedback and we’re happy to see the progress. But, we’re not done yet.

The idea submission phase ends on September 30th, 2020. So if you want to make your voice heard, now is the time. Once the 30th has passed, we will enter our next phase where we make the ideas as strong as possible. On the Ideascale innovation platform, participants will see a ‘refine’ option appear that allows participants to give their structured feedback. This is where community contribution can make the most difference by pushing ideas to the next level.

With that being said, if you have made a proposal and no longer want to move forward with it, we encourage you to remove it as soon as possible. This allows attention to be paid to those ideas which are being actively developed. If you are not proposing an idea you can still lend a hand in refining and developing active proposals. Every positive contribution is valuable!

We’re beginning the next step in Project Catalyst.

We’ve brought our global community together to determine how we can inspire others to develop Cardano over the next 6 months. This has led hundreds of participants to share their ideas via proposals on our innovation platform. Now it is time to bring those ideas to the next level.

During this next phase, we encourage you to provide proposers with constructive feedback on how they can increase their idea’s impact, auditability, and feasibility. Of course, you can also give ‘kudos’ to ideas that you want to cheer on. This phase will culminate on October 17th 2020, so be sure to make your voice heard before then.

Before we go, we also have some further exciting news to share.

We’re thrilled to announce to the Project Catalyst community that IOHK is collaborating with the United Nations for its 75th year anniversary! Catalyst will be used to vote on proposals which meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals: https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/

So take a look at the goals and get inspired. Maybe your idea could help support education (Goal 4), economic growth (Goal 8) or sustainable development? (Goal 17). This is your time to get creative and apply your ideas to the brief:

Winners will receive up to $10,000 in ada as well as guidance from UN affiliates to bring their solution to life while solving the outlined Social Impact Challenge using blockchain technology. To qualify, submissions must utilize Cardano and remain open source. Winners will be announced on October 24th, United Nations Day.
